The fact we made a Grand Final despite the amount of picks Silvagni blew is a credit to the job Craig Cameron and Jason McCartney have done to bring us back from that terrible era. The Suns are on the right track with Cameron involves up there. I feel like the Blues missed a trick when they...
I'll keep things short through fear of getting a warning, but Silvagni had an abhorrent record in his couple of seasons in charge at the Giants and most Carlton fans know it. Very few defend his dreadful time at the Giants.
By who? (Outside of this thread of course....)
Martin was among the best players at his club aged 20.... He was dominant against players far bigger, older and more experienced.
Please play the ball, not the man.
Do you think he made the correct choice in selecting Paddy Dow with pick #3 of the 2017 draft? Or is that considered "off topic"?
He was polished for his level. I would have likened him to Dayne Zorko. He was incredibly balanced and had a good skillset, which made him a very good prospect. Has he not been as dedicated as Blues fans would hope to put on the required size to play the role you'd like? Or is he exactly where...
I'd be interested to know from Blues fans, is Dow's less than expected output to date a recruiting mistake or an issue with his development? He looked very polished as a junior but has looked way out his depth at AFL level to date.
Ellis would have instantly been a top 3 player at Carlton, while Papley would have been a top 2 player. This is a side crying out for elite players and they just fluffed their lines and missed out on both.
I'd be furious if I were a Blues fan.
Don't rate any of the four highly to be honest. Curnow is perhaps the most likely to become an A-grader, but he hasn't shown enough to suggest he's any more than a 50/50 chance of being elite at this stage. Marchbank is a very poor player.
It's not a fact. It's your opinion. Which is fine, but I along with others disagree with you, Carlton are not on the track to progressing past fifteenth on the ladder.
Logic is at the eye of the beholder. Just because you don't think it's logical through your navy glasses, doesn't mean it isn't.
I don't think Teague has what it takes to be a full-time senior coach. I think he's a very good technical coach and understands forward set ups well, but I don't see...
Who are you referring to?
I asked about Adelaide, not the Giants.
In any case, I'm surprised you think we will slide that far. Shiel is quite a big loss, but I think Taranto moving on ball will cover him well. Lobb battled well despite his rib injury but Matt Flynn is almost ready to take...
Fasolo is one of the most bizarre recruiting decisions I have ever seen. The guy is a known cokehead and offers very little on the field.
Docherty and Setterfield are very good additions, but Kreuzer, Murphy and Simpson are one year older and the club was already overly reliant on them.
Who do...
Don't worry, Carlton have no interest in priority picks.....
