Ryder did look great tonight, and big. Has he put on some extra KG's over the preseason? Gonna be a hard one to stop this year I think.
Congrats on Daniher also. Not doing everything right, but for a KPF who has played a half dozen games, he is really sending some alarm bells out to the AFL...
Let me ask you in simple terms
Do you not agree that those seven players if fit are in out best 22?
It's ok if not, I know how little exposure we get down there :)
If so, I stand by my point. We are far from full strength
And at no stage did I refer to it being level. I don't know enough...
Sorry guys, I mean you no disrespect but that is a fairly inaccurate call.
Here is our squad for the game
Gold Coast SUNS NAB Challenge Squad (1st game)
1. Gary Ablett
2. Jackson Allen
3. Andrew Boston
4. Greg Broughton
5. Clay Cameron
6. Sam Day
7. Charlie Dixon
8. Dan Gorringe
9. Aaron Hall...
Had a good look at Martin in last years NAB cup. He didn't look out of place then and pretty much made the NEAFL look like he was a junior playing two years above his age group. He should fit right in and dominate. I'm really curious as to where he gets played. Bluey McKenna and co are keeping...
Bocky and Thompson are probably not too far off. I reckon both will up in time for the final NAB challenge match against the pies.
Prestia has a calf strain but no serious damage. Hoping he gets a run in the pre season games but more likely to come back Rd 1.
Smith is moving well but is more...
For anyone interested our unavailable players are
Nathan Bock (leg), Zac Smith (knee), Rory Thompson (hip) and Dion Prestia (calf)
But there a few players who have niggles that might not get up.
Ablett has said he will play. Jack Martin is a certain starter also

Seems at least one team will be taking this game seriously.
A few people here suggesting that the SUNS wont have the bodies to compete for a full season in 2014. I think you'll be surprised at how much...
Just a quick question. How many games has he missed since his debut? Id there anywhere we can find a breakdown of games missed due to injury/suspension/form?
What could he potentially be at?
Re: Gold Coast vs Essendon (14/04/2012)
Anyone think Fletcher may sit this one out? Probably not really 'needed' against our mob, and probably a good chance to get some game time into a younger player?
Would be great to get Fletcher his big 350 at the G against Carltank :thumbsu:
Would almost certainly get a gig in the media somewhere then I would of thought. Seems fairly comfortable in front of a camera and has had his fair share of cameos in things like film clips and LB movies :thumbsu:
It's a shame, at his best he was one great footballer to watch. Just a pity injuries let him down.
I wonder if Sheeds will try coax him into 2 years at GWS?
