We were missing our full back, centre half back and Bower played the game out injured.... I can't think of many sides that would be able to hold them off if that happened.

No, There's a big chance that Richmond will be 0-3 or 1-2 by the end of round 3. Don't forget a couple of years back North were 0-3 and ended up making finals. Last year we were 0-3 and could have made finals.
