I'm just not sure why there needs to be the swap of 16 and 23...why would GWS feel incline to give anything else up?
You kind of have to give something up to go get Curtin this year.
We did it last year with Cadman...if that's your guy and you wanna go get him you know you aren't going to get...
Yeah I agree...it probably won't be fair...the other variable is we lose time on developing that player....we set ourselves back a year...but I think keep are in the position to do that currently.
It's going to be an exciting live draft
Who is F1 for 7 unfair for?
GWS takes on risk of a F1
Eagles get player they rate high early.
Obviously I'd love more back but realistically would you give up Curtin for 5 or so spots in the 20s?
Interesting.
It's getting time that GWS are probably looking to start looking for replacements for Ward/Cogs since Taranto/Hopper/Bruhn left. I'd say that mid is a need area but no rush, probably why next year's draft seems like a better option.
I agree Curtin could slot on the wing quite...
I feel like it's a pretty simple trade too. Not sure why Giants would give up a future pick to gain a speculative pick.
I really like Curtin, I reckon he's gonna kill it for WCE if it goes down
Interesting trade.
Essentially trading Curtin for an F1. I doubt GWS will need to give back their F1 for this deal to happen though...that feels like too much if Curtin is rated as a top 3 prospect that has 'slid'.
Win/Win
Ah. Well my guess is that would not be enough to get that pick. We already have our other pick in the teens and I can't see them wanting to give up 6(9)((8))(((7))) when they could pick up a Sanders/Watson/Caddy.
Giants have such a young list and seem to be okay taking a few players a year...
It's probably getting out of reach now. Picks say 9 and 11 won't get it done for 1. I doubt the comp pick will get included even if we get it.
If we did and it ended up as 9/10/12 would that suffice?
Given our forward line currently a solid 2nd/3rd is exactly what we are looking for in Brander.
Himmel can't be the no 1 guy. He's a 'pass first' forward. Hogan is the no1 guy (let's face it, it's actually Toby).
I'm kinda hoping Brander just solidifies his spot as a rangey forward who can run...
