Don’t mind who wins tonight- expecting a high quality game from these two skinny guys! Sinner - likeable with an attractive game. I enjoy medvedev’s slight villainy and he plays beaut tennis. And it’s great to have a new champion- so good all round for me tonight. Yeehaa.
Thanks to Bobbi.
Don’t hate her, just haven’t warmed to her or her tennis yet. Agree, she seems like a pleasant person and has worked very hard on her game. She is only young so plenty of time to develop, but I just don’t find her game interesting to watch at this point, even though I can appreciate her tenacity...
It’s almost who cares?
Coco has improved but never really convinced me but she’ll probably win this open, so there you go. Bit cringeworthy when she encourages the crowd. Comon sabalenka.
Love Jabeur, but she’s too vulnerable. Two finals in a row that she has fallen to pieces in. Feel sorry for her, and thought she’d turned it around in this tournament, but nope, she’s got a big gremlin on her shoulders. Needs a new ‘mental‘ coach I’d say! And needs to let go the doing it for...
Vondousova comfortably the better player, some good tennis, but gee what an error-ridden match, from both of them. Nerves? Fatigue?
Second semi more convincing quality from jab/sab. Good game.
Jabeur to win the final. She has toughened up mentally. Should be an entertaining game.
He’s comfortably the best and has been for awhile now. He’s a good sport on the court and well mannered as he goes about his game. Always seems like a nice person too, but also clearly a bit of a goose off the court.
His extraordinary record won’t be beaten but I’d expect roger and Rafa to be...
Had some nice moments but bit lacklustre in the end. Muchova had her chances - didn’t take them and that’s the ball game. Had to get more first serves in too. Hope she gets another chance- good player to watch, nice attitude too.
Sure-but the record won’t mean much to anyone down the track will it? People will be impressed but have no actual knowledge of it. And we will all be gone. So the fun lies in who we will talk about for the next 20 years and I’d be surprised if it’s only djoko’s tennis that is discussed.
Of...
Doubt that many would question this. Djokovic is comfortably the best in terms of tennis ability/record.
Matters little though, because I’m pretty sure that most people who lived through this era will hold Federer and Rafa in higher regard (more rounded people.) And have more fondness for them...
Happy for Sabalenka. Deserved the win and earned it over the years. Rybakina didn’t play her best tennis- too many errors and outsmarted. The big serving, fewer rallies lacks appeal for me, but people loved it, so there you go.
ps couldn’t give a rats’ toss bag about some empty seats.
