    Senior Harris Andrews (2014-) (Co-Captain)

I was listening to SEN the other day and Danny Frawley did a bit of a 'defenders around the league' current status and he had Matt Scarlett as the past pinnacle, Alex Rance as the current king and Harris Andrews and Aliir Aliir as the heirs apparent. Nice to see Harris getting some outside...

    Retired Matthew 'Goose' Maguire (2009-2015)

Matt Maguire won Danny Frawley's new award the 'Golden Fist' for defender of the week on After The Bounce. Well done Goose on winning the first ever installment of this most prestigious award!

    Past Tom Rockliff (2008-2017)

Re: Tom Rockliff It's still there. Looks fairly ridiculous. http://www.sen.com.au/display-afl/Rockliff-staying-a-Lion/31188

    Retired Simon Black (1997-2013)

Re: Simon Black Unfortunately, he'll still be fifth behind Judd, who'll surely overtake him this year. Top five all time would be a great feather in the cap though!

    Past Sam Sheldon (2007-2012)

I'm going to go out on a limb here, I really think Sheldon will come good. Some very impressive 'one percenters,' as they're fashionably called these days. I think 80% of his troubles are confidence related. There's just something there.

    Past Mitch Clark #1 (2006-2011)

Re: Mitch Clark This is a question I've been pondering, mostly due to my lack of footy background, came on board 99ish. Is Clark's 'roaming' position the easiest position to play on the ground? It seems like all he needs to do is be more of a threat than whoever is created as the...

    Past Justin Sherman (2005-2010)

I don't want to sound too harsh, but I'm suddenly overjoyed that Sherman is no longer involved in our club. The fact that it was a rookie (first gamer?) makes it significantly worse.

    Retired Jonathan Brown #2 (1999-2014)

Just listening to SEN, Kevin Bartlett asked Greg Denham if Brown would come back without his usual dedication. Denham: KB, the man can bend steel with his bare hands! He leaps buildings in a single bound! Went on to say, as many think, that JB will be back as committed to hard marks as ever...

    Delisted Rohan Bewick (2010-2018)

Being on Sheedy's radar has to be a good thing doesn't it? It certainly sounds like the media was a bit lost but footy teams knew who he was. I'm looking forward to seeing Bewick play.

    Past Travis Johnstone (2008-2010)

Re: Travis Johnstone I still hope we keep TJ, I think he has a role to play at the lions in 2011.

    Delisted Claye Beams (2009-2018)

I think the issue was that he hadn't really considered a professional AFL career until Dayne made a good go of it at the pies.

    Delisted Rohan Bewick (2010-2018)

Excited about this signing out of the blue. Welcome to the Lions Rohan!

    Retired Simon Black (1997-2013)

Re: Simon Black I just saw this and thought it would bring some interest to an otherwise lions-dull Browlow night... He must have also won the 'decade Browlow' for 2000-2009 I would imagine. "I'm told he (Black) is now 10th on the all-time voting list. Twenty more votes would see him leapfrog...

    Past Michael Rischitelli (2004-2010)

Re: Michael Rischitelli I would have thought, though he is a significantly less valuable player than Bock, that his compensation would come in one higher at band 2. Age, longer contract, better 2010 season.

    Past Josh Drummond (2004-2012)

Great news, only one of the three recently mentioned that it seemed surprising he was cash-hunting. Hopefully Brennan stays now too, without the GC option on the table (committed to Rischa.)
  18. Hanley

    Past Jared Brennan (2003-2010)

Re: Jared Brennan Brennan is in no way worth that much money. I think a lot of clubs will come out of the next two year period with overinflated contracts to non-elite level players that were given against the threat of a GC or GWS raid. Brisbane should not fall into this trap.

    Retired Jonathan Brown #2 (1999-2014)

Just an idle thought while I should be working, but is Browny a chance for AA this year, if he kicks say fifteen in the last month? Not too many CHF doing well this year, Rooey obviously out. Goodes? Pretty inconsistent. None of Cloke, Mooney or Murphy stand-out from the other top teams. Pav...
