I got the answer from Quayle on Twitter. Not that it applies to you this year, but Academy clubs are limited to matching a bid (for the final player on their list) with a single pick. Can't use a combo of picks. Which is interesting.

You've got one spot left on your list. Someone bids on an academy player. Are you able to only use points from one pick (even if you may actually have more "hidden" picks available) to match a bid?

On the hidden picks, does this mean that you can only use one pick with the final player you select (and not not two as you may have using points)?

I stand corrected (for all my posts) if Leuey is on more than 450k. In that case it would be interesting to see who gets the bigger compo. Selwood with a longer deal and significantly younger, Leuey perhaps with a bigger annual salary.

Selwood has been offered more currency than Leuenberger, so by definition, he has more currency. That may be a different discussion to who is the better footballer though. Edit: see post below

Selwood much younger, longer deal, similar or better money. Either we get higher compo, or they say that Selwood is top of a band and leuey bottom of a band. Can't see them giving you band 4 or us band 2 so think band 3 for both.

Selwood is years younger, and got 450k over a longer deal. Apparently we will be getting band 3. Think Selwood should get one band higher than Leuey, given the age and contract size differences. Although hopefully we get 2 and you get 2 or 3. Source for the Suckling compo?
