As long as the outs are not 1 pointers you can still recruit well. But if you have a few 3 pointers dropping to 2 it doesn’t allow enough scope to recruit many more than 4 maybe 5.

Hey Grem, Stewart is more a true ruckman who can rest forward. His not a real key forward. It’s only because EK recruited Matty Dennis that Stewart was pushed forward. IMO a bad recruiting move to have 2 predominantly ruckman but that’s what EK do I guess. $$ and points would have been better...

Hey Auck, is Riddell classed as Metro or Country footy?? Reason is I read the HS article which mentioned top country league ratings and Riddell not mentioned in top 37. Just curious that’s all.

Played with Melton after Wagga then Parkside. Won comp medal in WRFL div2 last 2 seasons. Absolute gun and although getting on a bit is extremely fit and brilliant leader. Will dominate this competition if it’s true he has signed with Diggers. Maybe can’t commit to Div1 due to his work.

Why would they reject them. Absolute selfish people who in fact shouldn’t be presidents. More so if they are from div1 clubs as why should they care about a club like rockbank.

I guess it depends on what players you have as some prefer the “much” easier life playing Riddell league. No disrespect but you just cannot compare the 2 leagues as the gap is huge. Some big fish’s in the Riddell comp would be average in the Ballarat league. Yes some exceptions like maybe...

Huge gap between BFL and EDFL div1 though. Plus if you’re going to Sunbury area and you had to choose Sunbury Lions or Rupo facilities it’s chalk & cheese.

Yeah I kind of get it. But it’s definitely not soft footy and the speed of the footy flows better. However once a bit of poor weather sets in the edfl is not for the faint hearted or you get found out. It’s the state of the grounds at times that make the footy scrappy at times.

Respect your views mate but didn’t Rupo win the premiership in rdfl and then cone over to edfl and didn’t make finals till this year. So the gap between comps is still there. Diggers seem to have a decent list but the others I’m not sure would challenge the top 4-6 sides in edfl div1.

Slowed down a bit but in this league will be great. Good decision for all parties I reckon. Wish him well.

It’s a huge drop for south to go back to RDFL and if they did they would lose their identity I reckon.
