    Preview Round 3, 2022: Blues v Hawks, 1:10pm Sunday 3rd April, MCG

JSOS is too tall for Hardwick IMO...it will surely be Jiath. Hardwick wiil line up on one of Martin/Fisher/Durdin/Owies.

It'll either be him or Lewis Young.

    List Mgmt. 2020 Trade/FA TARGETS

I like how you say that many clubs wanted him as a late 1st / early 2nd round gem but then proceed to say Carlton 'overbid reached for him' despite the fact we got him for pick 19 which falls exactly within the area you said clubs thought he was worth (although we apparently rated him 6!). But...

Game Day Round 9, 2020: Carlton v Hawthorn, 5.40pm AEST

He won't. He's literally our 6th string tall forward behind McKay/Casboult and the injured Curnow/McGovern/Silvagni. Only playing due to injuries to 3 tall marking forwards.

Keep hearing/reading that he's got a degenerative back condition though which would be concerning, in addition to questionable character and dedication. Saints aren't well stocked for KPD's, so the fact they're willing to move him on is telling imo.

Prediction 2019 "Hypothetical Trade, FA, random player you wish we could get" thread..

Since I can't post in your other trade thread, just wanted to point out you never had to match exact terms such as front loading...just total years and salary. A few guys in there getting worked up and pissed at the afl for nothing.

    Hawthorn’s 2019 Trade/FA - Targets/Incoming players discussion only

We have a lot of rumours posted in our rumours thread, but only a few are credible and have good strike rates. Haven't really heard anything about firming up contracts, except that Daisy & Simpson are being offered 1 year contracts...apparently the thing with Daisy is that we're being upfront...

    Preview Round 6, 2019: Hawthorn v Carlton, 28 April 2019, 3.20pm @ York Park

Don't feel special, our preview threads are often between 50-70 pages ;) Was a tad disappointed to only see 8 pages here ha As i write this we've just hit 50 pages lol.

Prediction Hypothetical trades, other clubs moves, draft smokies, salary guesswork and whatever else thread

I know you guys prob don't care or won't want to believe it, but just saw the afl article about the proposed pick 15 and Burton. Our best Itk for years who is basically always right (called setterfield weeks ago and called essendon as a big threat for Shiel the day before he nominated)...

So seems clubs genuinely don't know yet. Whatever happens from here i'll still be pissed Shiel/Connors has left it this late...i'm sure the clubs arent thrilled about being strung along for this long.

Is it a coincidence both Gaff and Shiel have left their decisions super late and are both managed by Connors? I reckon he's advising them to leave clubs hanging as late as possible, to increase the chance of them increasing their offers. Eagles board suggesting they did finally offer Gaff a...

News Andrew Russell leaves Hawks to join Blues, effective immediately - No trolling

Can't really blame Bolts...inside word on our board is that Russell approached us. Maybe he just wants a new challenge and a refresh after being at Hawthorn for so many years?

Yeah barrass has as good a strike rate as you could get as a rumour poster. Him and Eric pascoe are the ones to look for if you're interested in our threads. I don't know what to make of his latest rumour...if it's a good or bad sign for us. Neither of those two have said anything more than...

Well it seems to be down to Carlton and Hawthorn. While we have navy and white on our guernsey, we're referred to as the navy blues and if you think Carlton our colour is just blue. So he does seem to be indicating Hawthorn.

Buddy was 9 years. But the article says Shiel's camp are chasing 7 years...didn't say a club has agreed to that though. For memory an ITK poster on our board said we've offered 5...there may have been an option for a 6th i'm not sure. But not 6 years outright.

He mentioned Essendon as well so 4 Vic clubs in the race still. We have a few pretty good ITK posters but this poster has proven to be no.1 over several years.

As per pretty much all media personalities who have ties to certain clubs, Judd basically doesn't comment on any trades Carlton are linked to. Hutchy and co ask him about McGovern, Shiel etc and Judd basically brushes off the questions. This is what McGuire, Brayshaw, Koch etc all do. Even...

    James Sicily

Might be reading too much into it but could it be a sign he's not particular liked by his Hawthorn teammates? Not all teammates get along...would come much more naturally to fly the flag for a teammate who is a good mate, than a teammate who you actually don't particularly like. With the way...

    Autopsy Hawks v Blues

Sicily was penalised because he delivered a swinging arm into Lamb's stomach...which goes over the line of what's accepted whereas for the most part Lamb was just pushing and shoving, which is allowed. You could argue that constant pushing and shoving should eventually lead to a free kick but...

    James Sicily

Nah no chance he thought it was a Carlton player...playing groups had already separated Sicily was in amongst all the Hawthorn players. Really poor from Sicily...i can forgive the other stuff that gets directed at opponents and umpires and say he just needs to pull his head in, but it's never...

Ultimate Glory Welcome to Hawthorn, Jaeger O'Meara

Yah, the people questioning the deal have very good reason to. What was given up rates Jeager as the second most expensive player in trading history, and he's a young player who hasn't actually reached great heights yet due to injury and hadn't played for basically 2 years at the time...now a...

Ultimate Glory Welcome to Hawthorn, Jaeger O'Meara

Probably the only more expensive player was Chris Judd, when we traded pick 3, J Kennedy (former pick 4) & pick 20 for Judd and a pick in the 50's (Armfield). Even though he was the best player in the comp we overpaid...no player is worth that much. But Jeager would be the second most...

Opinion 1 era ends, but the new has begun: or the sweet relief of finally getting O'Meara after all that

I think most will agree, once they take the emotion out of it, it is a smart and shrewd strategy the Hawks have implemented. As long as it doesnt hurt your culture, it's a very good move. The club bosses probably assessed that while you guys would be up near the top again next year, you...
