Spaghetti Carbonara
NOTE: THERE IS NO CREAM IN CARBONARA. ANYONE WHO ADDS CREAM DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY’RE DOING.
Ingredients
220 g spaghetti or spaghettoni
40 g guanciale (pork jowl) thinly sliced
2 eggs
1 extra egg yolk
70 g parmesan cheese (or aged pecorino) freshly grated

We have problems on a couple of fronts
1. Player contracts:
2026:
Caleb Daniel - now appears to be on the outer, no guarantee to be selected
Ryan Gardner - can't see any potential in this one-dimensional player
2027:
Jackson Macrae - jury out, pace is the obvious short-coming
Bailey Dale -...
Strangely enough, we are still very much in this.
But playing predictable football will not win it.
Time for Beveridge to introduce some risk into the gameplan.
If not, it will be just another loss and another indication that he hasn't developed this side at all since '16.
I think this game will...
There was a bloke yesterday sitting in the back right hand side of the Melbourne dugout. He would make a great coach for our list.
Mark Williams.
Bookmark it.
Yet again, no answer to the dominance of Gawn, Petracca, Oliver, May, and Lever.
Bev's game plan:
Kick it wide, then
Kick it along the boundary, then
Bomb it into the forward line, then
Watch the ball get moved out of the F50, just like a training drill.
Same old s**t, just a different level.
Until the coaches address the two problems of shutting down a run-on, and effective kick-ins from oppo points, Sleeping Beauty and the Seven Dwarves could be our starting backs.
Sydney loves to poach the marquee player (Capper, Lockett, Barry Hall, Buddy) to get bums on seats and high profile exposure for
their tiny, fickle market.
Dogs beat them to it and Naughton told them to GAGF.
I wonder who Sydney will try for now.
The AFL has the Norm Smith for BOG in the GF and the Gary Ayres for the best player of the series.
Big Footy has the Leon Davis for the worst player in the GF.
Big Footy should have the Charlie Curnow award for the worst player of the series. Choker of the highest order.
The Season
1. Poor pre-season. Having an amateurish pre-season didn't help as we got off to a bad start with two bad losses and a hammering of our percentage.
2. A good recovery. Up to round 10 of the season, produced some good wins against, what was then, good opposition.
3. The rot...
Wallace was given a handshake agreement to coach Sydney and replace the caretaker coach Paul Roos. Some Sydney officials and many supporters got wind of this, arced up big time and Roos got the permanent gig. Wallace missed out but went on to coach Richmond, unsuccessfully I might add due to...
Having read Tom Boyd's book, I don't want Leon Cameron anywhere near our club. Bloke is an A grade prick.
Buckley always comes across as being the smartest person in the room.
I mentioned in a previous post that I expect making the finals this year is a KPI in his contract. Given that, a win against Geelong next week can satisfy that condition. So, the club won't act this week.
However, win or lose, his position is now untenable.
Bev's fate lays in the hands of the players, not any board or salaried person.
If the players start grumbling and arcing up, Bev's day are numbered.
Haven't seen or heard of it yet.
Lose the players, lose the coach.
