He honed his boundary line kicking in that game - used it to great effect against the tigers, just didn't see arguably the best player in the past 20yrs standing right in front of him.
I reckon we got the rub of the green in that decision. To me the ball went OOB well before the siren and should have been called a Freo free. Anyway, that last 10mins was the definition of winning ugly.
Happy with this decision. Tough as a cats head but not a good ball user at all.
On fully onboard with the Clarko doctrine. Not fit, can't dispose of it, there's the door.
We don't have the balls to drop him. At least Cameron could do it with Cogs when he didn't deserve his spot any more.
Stop bleating about it and get used to the fact it's just another sign of how piss poor this club is.
Yeah but similarly in December I was discussing with my mates how exciting 2022 was going to be.
You know, with all that improvement to come naturally on the back of a good back end to 2021, the further improvement from guys like Stevo, Zurhaar, LDU and Corr back to bolster the backline with...
Why would he stay?
Uncompetitive on the field, with team mates who are unskilled / unmotivated
x home games in Tassie in front of 8,000 people
y home games at Marvel where there are more oppo fans than North fans
Leadership headed by Ziebell and Kayne f***ing Turner
Coach seemingly (for...
I'm firmly in the de-list camp - what are we waiting for here?? It isn't like he shot the lights out when he finally did manage to string some games together in a few patches last year - close to 0.5 goals a game in 9 appearances. That, combined with his very suspect body means time to let go.
Blaming the Suns lol.
We played rhe 2nd worse team in the comp without their best KPD on our "home deck" and BBB kicked 2. Take a look at our own sh*t that contributed to this mess.
Agree - will be a lengthy holiday for LT.
Watching him play the first few rounds of the year and the amount of niggle/off the ball stuff he was bringing, I cannot say I am surprised. I hope he makes it back as is truly one of our most gifted players but looks a mile off it in terms of effort...
Personally wouldn't mind if he departed, I think one year is the maximum we could provide and if he can get two years elsewhere, so be it. As we are clearly attempting a re-build I am not too disappointed and if there is a little compensation (not sure exactly) in return via compensation picks...
Unfortunately, Drew's biggest contribution to the club over the past year or so has been how to raise your arms apologetically, to show to the umpire that you are just manning the mark and not infringing and causing a 50m. Unfortunately the rate at which Drew is out-marked by his opponent means...
Despite his 1st class attitude and attack on the ball, honestly I couldn't see Sugar producing ~30-40 goals a year. Would we have gotten over Melbourne without him? Maybe, maybe not. Garner may be a more capable replacement (vs Sugar) in the longer term but I do see a real downside if he were...
If they were half reasonable, the games immediately after when he SHOULD break the record should also be in Melbourne, to allow for maybe a 1 or 2 week injury...beyond that I agree you cant plan for it but would be a nice contingency...
