It is stupid that we are talking about SA 2018 again. Of course Bancroft was the fall guy in many respects, however he was the one stupid enough to put himself in that situation.

The only query I have with Lara was his consistency, particularly in the middle portion of his career. Now a lot of this coincided with the general decline of the team in the late 90's and his stint as captain so I think it is explainable.

Wade isn't the worst stopgap opener but I question what it means for him long term with Green presumably taking his spot at number 6? Head vs Wade for number 5?

Opening with Marnus, Paine or any other stopgap is just crazy. Don't create more problems trying to fix one.
