It makes it so much easier to play more often as a lot easier to go to NZ for 2 weeks than a tour to India.
Hell, no reason they couldn’t play 4 tests across both countries.
The only reason they don’t is the same reason Australia don’t play Bangladesh or Afghanistan, $$$$
The most ridiculous part of that graphic is that Australia has only played 11 tests in NZ, their closest test neighbours, in 25 years.
In the same period they’ve played about 40 in England.
The fact it’s 8-9 months till the next series means all will be forgotten by then.
Whilst the bowlers are off limits and untouchable, the concern surely needs to be raised about losing late in series and summers. They’re all getting on and yet are so insistent on not missing any tests that...
He’s very suspect if it’s swinging or seaming, as most batsmen are. He gets away with a lot of edges through 4th slip and was caught at pretty much 4th slip today to a great diving catch.
But he’s very much near the end if his career and it would be a shock if he plays past the Sydney test.
I still expect Australia to get the job done, it's supposed to be an absolute road, that's the excuse for the pie chucking by Starc and co, so 200 should be a walk in the park.
BUT, when was the last time NZ actually won a test v Australia? I assume it'll be the same answer as they only ever...
It’s interesting as Warner and Khawaja they said used to swap, yet Smith faced first both innings here.
Although Khawaja was not interested in any quick singles unless it was to get off strike tonight!
Although looking back, Smith has faced first ball every test since opening.
They have an extra 30 minutes to make up for Australia’s slow over rate.
Back in the day it was rarely used, now it’s become a part of every Australian test and still only see 80-85 overs bowled with the extra time.
