He didn't give a chance today but he just always looks scratchy, in other innings and even here, here doesn't project confidence. I don't know he is just a real grinder, not really knocking him, well i am but whatever.
Tiny flick on snicko and a mark (looks like a logo to be fair on the glove) to be clear i dont think it was out but im tipping if the first one was overturned it would have been after a number of looks from 35 different angles. The second could have been overturned with just a single replay and...
Im not sure it is one all, the first one was given out and i doubt DRS overturns it (little noise on snicko and a tiny mark on the glove) not a definitive overturn (even though i dont think it took glove). That LBW was as plumb as there is.
I see whats going on, brilliant captaincy from Clarkey, bring in an total unknown batsman to make his debut, chuck him at no11 and tell everyone he is a left arm spinner. Genius.
Never kept score in backyard cricket, played school cricket as a fill in one game and made 50* then had to retire, was a baseballer and there wasn't a single traditional cricket shot in the innings, everything was being hit with a horizontal bat or blocked. I remember thinking i was decent spin...
I dont think anyone is suggesting he had been planning this all summer then decided to use it here, everyone is saying it was opportunistic. Regardless of this as we said, surely given the circumstances of his hands being pretty close to the bails (regardless of whether he felt the bails through...
If i had played cricket for my whole life especially at an elite level, therefore spent the better part of nearly every day looking at the stumps, yeh i think i would look at the bails being in front of the stumps and think that was pretty f**king strange, if a tenpin bowler boweld the ball down...
Except that the bail is in front of the stumps not behind them, have you ever seen someone and get bowled and have the bails fall forward? Cause i sure as hell haven't. He knew what he was doing and it's pretty poor IMO.
