Going to be interesting to see which version of Jeckyll n Hyde shows up for both sides next week. Both teams cause their fans a lot of angst.....both look good on paper, but have a knack of coming up short....too short sometimes.
No you simply just didn't get it right....
2022 cap breach apparently....discovered when the end of 2022 season accounts were audited mid this year....
SF breached cap in 2021, found out in 2022 audit and penalized for the 2023 footy season....EF will get the same, sounds reasonable action to me.
Isn't Jackson in that age range? Understand Jackson isn't a 3rd choice ruck, but Freo would have the liberty of having a mature mid 20s ruck in the wings( like a Meek), just in case, heaven forbid, both Darcy and Jackson went down. Free has dominated the WAFL for a few years now.
JLo seems to be the perfect coach for someone of Jackson's potentially unique skill set.....sounds like a coach with clear plans and individual player strategies...not wishy washy like Bevo at the WBD.
I think being back in WA, and in a settled environment, JLo will nurture the best out the...
Up to the coaching team to work out how to tap that potential. Too often their versatility is over used to plug deficiencies, find him a role, let him develop, like any young player finding his AFL feet.
How many 20 yr old KPP's are actually more then meh? Still a work in progress, probably not a 750K+ work in progress right now, but in a couple of years for sure.
Williams kicks three in the pouring rain to nearly drag EF over the line v SD....end result SD are off to the GF winning by 2 points......usual culprits winning plenty of the footy in Chipper and Browne....let's see if JVR can replicate his goalkicking heroics for a third week on the...
Might of been mentioned before, but I see Freo Academy squad youngster Tristan Jacques has come out of "retirement" and playing footy in the ammo's with Willeton, to suit up for SF colts. At 195cm, Jacques is a former U/16 state player with other Gero youngsters in McVee and Bartlett a few...
Didn't play in the end for EF, not sure why, has been picked in the Great Northern Footy League squad of 40 for the annual country footy carnival....seems like he decided against moving to Perth to better his draft prospects....
Jack Cleaver is the kid you are thinking of mate....I think Hagan, Browne and Cleaver will be giving plenty of opportunities for the likes of Williams and McMillan up front....Will be interesting to see how Freo Academy boy Tristan Jacques goes....Gero lad, who for some reason played for...
O'Reilly played game 1 league for EF, injured an ankle mid game, missed the next four weeks, returned for game 5 in the league v WP and injured his shoulder mid game....missed the next game v SD and returned last weekend via the EF reserves v Perth....so coming from a fair way back match fitness...
I have heard that Chris Walker is the better athlete of the Walker twins, so will be interesting to see how his footy development goes at EF this year....Brandon sounds like is the more natural footballer of the two, thus his greater success so far....
Tundra....you seem to know more than most regarding these NGA boys....I see EF have Walker x2 listed on their colts list but no Haddow....just an admin oversight by the club till the colts list is finalized? Just find it amazing Haddow didn't get a state u/16 game last year despite making the...
Tundra, both boys are on EF colts list, with Brandon already scoring a colts game despite being 15....though don't see Keanu Haddow on EF list and noticed he didn't play in any of the under 16s state games....gone off the boil perhaps?
Pretty sure Suma pointed out the positives too, not sure all the fuss, pretty sure a fair few "couch" coaches here on Big Footy have said a lot worse about players....LOL.
Good luck to the youngster and lets hope he becomes a very very good AFL player over time....like what Suma said from memory
O'Reilly kicked 5 after half time to win that game for EF v SF in the colts elimination final....his coach played him in defence in the first half and SF led by 3 - 4 goals at half time....in the 1st Semi O'Reilly played at FF from the off and kicked his 1st goal in the final quarter, EF lost...
Interesting than to see local boy Strnadica get delisted then.....2 years development put into him, seemed to be improving rather than regressing....can't see Freo drafting anything tall TBH.....think landing Lobb and Hogan has put paid to any chance O'Reilly getting drafted by Freo...
Would of been interesting if Tom Joyce had been fit this year he would of been considered a prospective pick 14....didn't look out of place as an under ager last year in the state champs....be interesting to see if Freo or anyone else pulls the trigger on the kid......out of interest with all...
Any thoughts on EF Ton Joyce, standout carnival as an under ager in 2017, didn't play this year due to a hip injury....like English is a natural possession winner....might not be pick 14 tho, but a later pick perhaps.....
Good on Freo sticking their ground here...not sure why all the Melbourne fans are pointing the finger at Freo....Freo merely want what they think Neale is worth, just like Melbourne want what Hogan is worth...Brisbane need to cough up and this trade will happen for all parties
Surely if Lobb arrives to Freo, Strnadica will be the unlucky one to make room for him...pity that considering he is a work in progress who definitely went forwards in his development this year, despite Lyon not giving him a debut.
