Rule change - Now a 50m penalty if tackled after disposal

The guy dropped him after the tackle...not much in it, but that's the rule. Tigers fans near me were losing the plot :D always people with the least idea that shout the loudest

    Rushed behind rule becomes permanent

Yeah cool :thumbsu: How could it cost a team a game? If they rush it then it's fair. The only way it could 'cost' a game is if we're marginally behind and they don't pay it and as a result Carlton lose out. Which in any case I said the ruling for the blatant needs to be concrete now as Stevens...

    Rushed behind rule becomes permanent

The timing may be off, but I think this is a good rule. It keeps the game interesting, and just think how well it's going to work when we have a close game with 2mins left on the clock. Out of all the rules changed in the last 5 years this has to be the best one. Having said all that, the...

vozzo throws out the challenge to chamberlain

He was even worse last week. Absolute toss

    Umpiring Kangaroos vs Carlton

The Harvey fend, should have been a free regardless and it happened after Waite's so should have been a reversal. What I'm getting at is, instead of watching the play Vozzo was show ponying around arguing with Waite. The arrogance of the guy was astounding, anyway I hope Vozzo and Chamberlain...

    Umpiring Kangaroos vs Carlton

IMO Vozzo lost control, at one point when Waite tackled Wells? he was yelling at Waite and was really angry with him ...even though he missed Harvey elbowing Armfield in the head in the same piece of play. Anyway the umpiring had no effect on the game as far as result, sure is...

Umpires cost carlton again - Should AFL step in?

Umpiring was s**t both ways....nobody should be complaining. They paid free's that were not there, or maybe were technically but very soft....but both teams had plenty of these rubbish calls.

    Explain

I've looked at it frame by frame....that's how Fev goes for his marks. You can clearly see up until the time when he connects with Slattery he still has his eyes on the ball and is in the motion of attempting to mark. Once the knee connects fev looks down and flaps his arms around, to land...

    Explain

As Merv selectively chose a picture not showing the whole truth....here's a video. Look between 14-15 seconds It's the only time where you can see the ball in shot. It was clearly a realistic attempt at a mark, eyes on the ball. Hence why I think it was a stupid free kick. <object width="425"...

    Explain

I don't believe so, I watched it before. Fev was on the up when he collided with Slattery, the ball wasn't much over his head If slattery hadn't of made contact Fev would have had the opportunity to mark it. That's my take anyway
  11. BLue_Bloys

    Explain

IMO it should have been play on. If any free was going to be paid it should have been to Fev as he was legitimately going for the ball and was taken out of the contest. It was unfortunate what happened to Slattery, but Mclaren s**t himself and paid him a free for nothing.

BEST quarter of umpiring I've seen!

Yeah after last week it was great to see some good umpiring. Wasn't really happy with some of the Fev calls but, you win some you lose some.

    My letter to the AFL....

Point 1) If there was incorrect calls that should have gone your way they were in the midfield and you were usually falling down at half forward anyway there wasn't much momentum going forward. Point 2) 4 goals directing from free kicks, 2 were dodgy the other 2 were acceptable, Kangaroos won...
