800m is not an endurance event as such, but yes you do need aerobic capacity to maintain sustained speed.

There is no answer, simply because all elite sports people have sport specific fitness. This means that they will be deficient in categories not suited to their sport.
AFL is one sport that requires speed, endurance and strength, so they would score better across the board than many others...
Get a grip Evan he posted 15.40secs, but anyone familiar with distance running know he actually means 15 min 40 secs. That is a pretty reasonable time.
