Merge the Melbourne teams, bring in a Canberra team and go back to 8 rounds so the comp is over inside a month.
And take it away from the f-wits at Channel 7.
Her WBBL career SR is 108.2 which isn't that much better than her WBBL09 SR of 107.71. She has never been a fast scorer, and I don't think her batting style is suited to T20 cricket, but I was saying that about Ellyse Perry two seasons ago and she changed her game, so I'm not going to say she...
If he said she isn't a T20 batter, then he probably is. Season SR of around 105 was okay in WBBL01, but the game is different today. Her meandering through the first 15/16 overs has probably left 20-25 runs on the field.
I've pretty much missed the entire game, sadly I missed Erin Burns' great catch but thankfully I have missed the Sixers terrible batting. Maitlan Brown as an opener has failed, and everyone else except Perry is horribly out of form.
The Sixers may be on a four-game winning streak, but they are a shadow of the team of last year, too many players are out of form. Unless something changes, starting with Brown moving back to six, I'd be surprised if they win even one of their last four matches.
We've given the top four a bit of head start, but if we can continue this run (have won three straight) we can still play finals. After the Hurricanes again on Monday, we have the Scorchers, Strikers, Heat and Thunder at the SCG in the final game.
Just get the feeling that the Sixers are beginning to hum, their batting is still spluttering a little, but their bowling and fielding looks very solid and not too far removed from last season.
