Switch doing well in Japan:

Animal Crossing New Horizons has surpassed the original Pokemon on Game Boy to become the highest selling game in Japanese history.
I thought this deserved its own thread as It's such such a magnificent game and one of the outstanding titles to be released this year.
I finally got stuck in today and reached the first boss but couldn't beat her.
Who else has been playing Hades?
Yep that Direct sucked.
I'm satisfied for now though with the games I picked up from the Indie presentation.
Understandable though that fans want to know about Nintendo's plans.

Takashi Mochizuki from Bloomberg is a reliable source. Got people buzzing when this dropped the other day.
Imagine a Switch Pro launching next year with BOTW2, Mario Odyssey 2...
If you've still got it, I highly recommend A Short Hike, which dropped today as part of the indie presentation.
There's a reason why it has a 10/10 rating on Steam from 3,500 reviews.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe coming October 30th. Never played a game in the series and apparently this is a series high point. Comes with new missions and all the DLC.
A lot of people have been enjoying Paper Mario, been reading comments on other forums. I'll definitely check it out once I'm done with Xenoblade Chronicles. But the origami king seems like a return to form for the series.
Switch is selling record amounts. Not bad for a system sitting in the shadow of the PS5.
Paper Mario? There's a lot of doubt surrounding that one. Recently Bug Fables was released to excellent reviews.
Many people even said it was as good as the first few Paper Mario titles. Certainly better...
I kinda feel the same way. I really hope Nintendo stick to this hybrid formula as I hate being restricted to the living room.
This game has got quite a lot of buzz recently

The show was decent I think. Started great with Ratchet and Clank, Spiderman etc. which looked great but afterwards the show fell into a lull with not many titles capturing my interest. The new Resident Evil and Horizon games were a great way to cap off the presentation though.
Yes, but the joycons aren't ideal to put it lightly. But yes, two joycons are enough for four player gaming.
I assume you're an adult with largeish hands, and especially with extended play sessions, your hands can feel really cramped and uncomfortable using the joycons.
And that's not to...
Great collection!
Here's some suggestions:
Octopath Traveler
Tokyo Mirage Sessions
Slay the Spire
SteamWorld Dig 2
Katana Zero
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair
Ori and the Blind Forest
Ring Fit Adventure
Into the Breach
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom
Horizon Chase Turbo...
AI The Somnium Files is quality indeed. Played it earlier this year.
Atm I'm playing a mixture of Slay the Spire, Children of Morta, Animal Crossing, and Tetris 99.
Mootsy yes we all want Nintendo to show off their big guns. But this year has clearly been affected by the virus. Games on other platforms being delayed etc.
Btw you forget one big release: Clubhouse Games. The original title on the DS was a huge hit and many people are looking forward to this...
