Roast Three consecutive 6 day breaks

The Freo board did note that we had a very soft draw last year. So far this season the breaks between games that we have had have been 8,6,9,6,6,9,6,6 and another 6 day break against Geelong. At least we haven't had to travel in the last couple of weeks I'm not sure who you are referring to as...

It looks like the AFL has adjusted your scheduling along similar lines to ours.

Review AFL 2nd Qualifying Final autopsy - Fremantle defeats Geelong by 15 points

Cracking contest. It was an amazing example of high pressure footy. So glad we won it, we'll give it a red hot shake from here hopefully. Good luck next weekend.

Mega Thread AFL uses Simonds Stadium for qualifying final

You'll find that while we are talking up our chances, we think this will still be an incredibly hard game. Geelong in Geelong is the hardest task you can set for a footy team (over the last decade). We think we have a chance, but I doubt you'll find too many who think we have a better than even...

Mega Thread AFL uses Simonds Stadium for qualifying final

We were hardly disrespectful of St Kilda, we gave them a dream sendoff for their retiring players. It wouldn't have mattered if we'd belted the suitcase out of the Saints, or lost by a thousand points, as the results fell, we could not have moved on the ladder. It's hardly disrespectful to send...

Preview AFL Round 14 - Geelong v Fremantle, Simonds Stadium, 7:40PM Saturday 29 June

Kepler is out for the season with a bung knee. The talls that will be up forward will be Hannath and Taberner. They're decent for what they are (a young ruck/fwd and a young fwd). Neither will inspire large amounts of fear in most team, but they are developing nicely, and should at least be able...

Preview AFL Round 14 - Geelong v Fremantle, Simonds Stadium, 7:40PM Saturday 29 June

Yeah, maybe Spurr and Pearce are less suited to this role, bt their delivery is excellent, and I never worry when they have the ball. Clancee hasn't really been used as the loose man much, but he's pushed up into the midfield a few times, and Spurr floated up forward against the Roos, suggesting...

Preview AFL Round 14 - Geelong v Fremantle, Simonds Stadium, 7:40PM Saturday 29 June

I wasn't saying we'd win (although it's still a possibility). I was only saying that we have a few guys at HB who we use in the loose defender role. We'll come to play mate. Expecting to walk over us because we are missing a few head of cattle is dangerous. We respect the catters, and know...

Nah, we can raffle off that loose defender role to MJ, Spurr, C.Pearce, Ibbo or Duffield. Usually they'll rotate through, so there is always a bit of run off HB. All of these guys can deliver the ball well if they are given any space, especially C.Pearce, Ibbo and Duffield.

Preview AFL Round 14 - Geelong v Fremantle, Simonds Stadium, 7:40PM Saturday 29 June

They must be looking at our outs and our ins. Everyone would recognise the talent we have out, but we have a few ins not too many are familiar with. out: Pav, Sandi, Mundy, Barlow, Kepler, Big Griff in: Hannath, Zac, Crozier, Michie? Neale? If we win this it will be huge, as we'll have a...
