3D was never gonna become the standard. I didn't buy into that crap for one second. The fact that you have to wear glasses was always gonna cripple the technology.
it all comes down to a simple fact - the AFL is so concerned about the tv right$ but they don't give a stuff about the quality of the coverage.. as long as they get their money..
I believe the draw last year was in HD, but not the replay, as the HD cameras were being used to record Bathurst or something like that... Do we only have 1 HD camera in Australia or something?
So shitty with the quality of the grand final coverage last year. Would have loved if they recorded...
What a ridiculous suggestion...
Agree to an extent - though I think having it during the home and away season for about 4-5 Collingwood matches somewhat diminishes it's impact on finals atmosphere...
Re: Fevola coming to the attention of the wrong people!

he's gone from being one of collingwoods favourite sons, to somebody most collingwood fans wouldnt piss on if he was fire.. just goes to show what type of character he is.
ok so from TD's point of view.
it costs $25,000 to run a stadium for a night.
Collingwood will fill it with a pretty much guaranteed 45,000 people. That means a profit of food and drinks at $300,000
North melbourne match will get 22,500 people (halved for ease of calculation). This means a...
did you miss my point completly? clubs get better deals when they can fill stadiums. They are an asset to the stadiums they play in and hence make more money.
Clubs that struggle to half fill a 50,000 stadium will not get good deals.
Why should the AFL compensate your clubs inability to...
I liked the AFL lookalikes one. i wonder why that threads locked now, i wanted to post something on it the other day...
also the south park thread was pretty good..
