I’m not over the exact cap situation in the VFL but I do know VFL clubs find it hard to get top ups as much better offers interstate. A true reserves comp is still the fairest and best option for all clubs and I’m staggered the AFL can’t see this

I did mention a while back though that several AFL umpires and officials had been attending SANFL games and even attending trainings with a view to bringing the same last touch rule to the AFL and I believe that will be implemented in the very near future, maybe as soon as next season
