Carlile 192cm Logan 191cm Chaplin 195cm
vs
Riewoldt 193, Kosi 197 and Siposs 189cm
You shouldn't have a problem unless Stanley ends up an extra tall. ( which will make us badly top heavy IMO ).
Meanwhile the Saints defence probably won't have anyone taller than 191cm. ( Fisher , Dempster...
Watch out for Sippos so far he's only played 5 games for 33 disposals. But with that he managed to kick 5 goals ( best disposal efficiency of any player with more than 1 game last year ). He'll be finding a bit more of the ball this year.
If Gray looks to dangerous we may just Dempster him. :D
I bought Chad at start of season, and luckily traded out before round 3.
He may be better value now, but if you want a top scoring player I'm not sure that he's the way to go.
Paul Bower ( Carlton ) may be a better bet. His first two games this year have been good and he will go up in value...
Lleuenberger has been getting good scores most weeks with the occasional crap score ( ie 50ish). First season after a long time injured, he may become more consistant as he gets more games under his hat.
( Picked Warnock, Hille, Nicnat , and Lleuenberger at the start, Warnock is a dud and is...
According to "tooserious.net" Trengove will still be going up in value if he scores more than 7 points. So if he's on the bench, and you aren't targeting anyone who's about to shoot up in value it doesn't hurt to hold him. He's only going up about 8 or 9000 a week though.
Hitchcock needs to...
Congratulations on a good start to the season for Port.
Chad Cornes has long been a DT favorite of mine, and I ( maybe stupidly ) picked him without looking into it too much this year.
He's had a bit of a slow start and I'm wondering if its due to form, or team structure.
If he's playing a...
Just the rumour I heard, doesn't mean I'd stake my soul on it, though I'll admit I took the opportunity to have a bit of a snipe at Freo:D.
I suppose you look more like Geroge Costanza than Miranda Kerr, if you did have to streak anyway.
The rumour I heard was that Freo were considering putting him up for trade ( as opposed to Melbourne clubs going after him ). Reason - the team is more S***house than first thought and they won't be competative before Sandilands retires, and they can use the first round draft pick to help...
If you need someone I would have thought Hale would be OK.
I cringe when I think of some of the rucks the Saints have made do with.
Cain Ackland, Michael Rix, Mathew Clarke(past his used by date), Koschitski in the ruck.... Hale looks pretty good in comparison with those.
Rhys Stanley has been rucking for the seniors at the "Sandringham Zebras" and is looking very promising. It may be that he will overtake Ben McEvoy in a couple of years. Surprised that you guys didn't get him if you were after rucks, he's a bit of a long term development though.
Rucks seem to be very much in demand these days.
I was amazed at what Carlton gave up to get Warnock ( who I'd never rated that highly ).
Good SAFL ( or WAFL or VFL ) rucks don't always work out.
The Saints had Michael Rix for years. Fantastic VFL player but a spud at AFL level.
Interesting thread here guys.
Just an observation re- Ben McEvoy.
With Gardiner / King getting on in years and our other rucks still well and truly underdone ( Stanley going OK in VFL sometimes ) I think the Saints would be desperate to hold onto McEvoy.
Re: R6: Port v Adelaide Review
I was wondering about Peter Burgoyne's performance on the weekend. I have him in supercoach and he was great for the first three weeks.
I guess my concern is that he will be played in a different role and may not rack up as many points.
