Playing a 3rd rate side at a 3rd rate venue. Absolute joke immediately prior to the season start. I hope the ground at Willaston gets some rain on it this week to soften it up.
Instead of going flat out we're going to have to play with caution lest someone get hurt in a game we're going to...
thanks heaps for the reviews guys. Just wondering how you think we're looking the ruck department? Is Trengove up to relieving Broges in the ruck without us losing too much in the centre square?
it's one way of making sure that your kids don't get one-look at what it's done to the cricketers. Bit like the poms blaming the arrival of the wag's for the 3rd test loss in perth. are there any rules about football partners and away games?
I signed up my sydney-residing nephew as a junior member for the 1st time this year. it's a great deal for the kids price wise and, along with a merchandise pack, fitted the xmas budget perfectly.
The irony is that they stopped the Magpies from dominating the SANFL but now another entity is doing the same thing.
There is not, and never has been, a level playing field in the SANFL. There is still widespread rorting of salary caps and a vast difference in revenues between the clubs...
I won't be happy if Senior Burger gets a recall. He should have to earn his spot not just get a one week dropping to the "magoos" as some form of token statement by the coach.
I'd drop Pettigrew. We have plenty of other players who can play in the backline who are much harder and tougher than Petters. He doesn't offer anything that others can't, but without as much as downside as he has.
I'd persist with Rodan as I think the SCG could really suit him. Not sure who...
It was one of those games where you're stoked about the fightback win but really peeved that we let them back in the game like we did. Really we should have belted them. Still a win's a win.........
We are FAR from convincing though and WhoTF knows how we'll play in Sydney. I hope that for...
Getting that big rock hasn't toned you down at all hey gbear?
I won't call for Choco's sacking, or extension, based on 1 game alone. I'd be interested to see where we sit after round 11 or 12 though.
At least it was a loss that didn't totally kill our percentage like the previous 2 did...
I'd like to see Lower get another chance. His form in the SANFL deserves to be rewarded IMO.
Just as an afterthought, given that the game's "indoors", I'm wondering if we might include another tall. Any chance that M Westhoff might get a call up? Reckon with our height and quick ball...
I though that we had "brad" ebert not "brett" playing for us. Every now and then, the local rag and C McDermott show their total lack of interest in anything positive that is Port Adelaide.
Read the Sunday Mail if you didn't see it.
Just being "them", I would have loved a 10 goal win. :D
Happy with the game of course, just like to really "pummel" people when they're down. :thumbsu:
It kinda worries me that we could be so dominant for most of the game, but not win by a larger margin. Guess I'm on my own on that one though.
On the one hand, it's nice to know that some of the players are fired up over their apathetic performance as a team in Perth.
On the other hand, we need the side united if we're going to get anywhere.
I hope this is just one of those 'hot under the collar' reactions by some players...
Did anyone else hear the reports about major bustups in the change rooms after the WCE game? Would love to know what's really going on down there at the minute.
You can't demolish the best cricket ground in the world. It's heritage listed for a start.
Games like the Easter Sunday one should be there though. You'd get a lot more "walk ups" at a ground in the city than people making a trek to Footy Park. Any matches against the lower pulling Vic sides...
