The problem is, we have evolved the rules in a way where everything is open to interpretation and every decision made is 'technically' correct.
What s**t's me more than anything is not so much the actual umpiring, they make mistakes like everyone else...but the direction they receive. It...
He acted like he had been hit in the face with a sledgehammer not his own little finger. Should be fined, s**t look for the game...the sooner players are given a reason to stop this the sooner they will.
I don't understand why everyone is on West Coast solely  Sure they probably do it more than most but EVERY club has players doing this, mine included.
It's frustrating to watch and pretty dangerous really, if umpires stop rewarding those doing it, players will stop...simple really...
I've noticed this too and it shits me, I have no knowledge that the rule has changed
I was always taught growing up that if you dropped the ball it was incorrect disposal, this season it appears that it's perfectly acceptable?
I think it's a pent up frustration on everyone's behalf. Nobody knows wtf is going on with rules and umpiring
Rules change from week to week, quarter to quarter and players, coaches and fans are seemingly left in the dark. Is it too hard to ask for the rules to be consistent across all matches...
Yet you do the exact same to us....
What's there to discuss. I told you that I thought he was guilty, whether my club or club captain admit that or not....WTF do you want from us?
It was a very moronic thing to do....but please don't try and single out Judd here.
Whilst you're trying to...
LMAO,
For someone who's trying to portray himself as a clever person, your gross generalisations are in the same vein as those that racially abuse people because they are different to themselves.
And for your information, I thought it was a very stupid thing to do. I welcomed the club to...
Rofl...."totally lacking in moral fibre" you say?
Just because you string a few smart sounding words together doesn't make your post any more intelligent.
Next time don't try to go so over the top
Re: Umpiring essendon vs melbourne
That was terrible. Rivers goes to spoil, Lucas holds his arm and the umpire pings Rivers....
The thing that shits me the most from them was the umpire was obviously blind sided and had to guess. It's simple, if you're not sure DON'T ****ING GUESS!
Re: Umpiring essendon vs melbourne
Melb copped a s**t run in the first half....didn't watch much of the second, so can't comment on that.
I'm sure we'll see a very even display next Friday night though
He treads a fine line....tbh I don't mind it.
Looked like he was going for the ball, hope he doesn't get suspended for it. Was on the other side of the ground to where I was though, so may be more in it.
Both Stevens' and Schammer's hits were similar. You all jumped up and down about it not less than 2 months back. Now because it's your man, Murphy is, 'soft' blah blah blah, the game is going down the toilet etc
Glad someone addressed it....I suspect this thread will go south from here.
IMO it's not worth a week, but if Stevens got done for the same thing then the week should stand
Can someone explain to me about the Grigg / Dempsey 50 metre penalty. I was at the game, and Dempsey caught the ball but hadn't completed the mark. He was still juggling be ball. Yet the umpire called it 50?
Did the umpire get that wrong or is there something I'm missing?
