I don’t know what anyone expected him to do. If he throws his arms out like some suggested Cunningham shatters his ribs. He was going for a chest mark and turned to protect at the last second.
That’s literally just Peter Wright’s marking action when he’s going for a chest mark. Football act, was called play on. Maybe Cunningham should get tf out of the big fellas way…
Nothing in it... Just like a number of other incidents which have either gotten off or copped multiple weeks.
So I’d say he gets off, but with my track record on guessing these things I’m likely wrong.
I’m more worried that throwing/dropping the ball doesn’t even seem to be a rule anymore. It’s like the umps would genuinely rather players throw the thing than hold it in the tackle.
Not sure how it works at 18s level, but I have seen this rule in junior rep games. It’s pretty loosely enforced there, so yeah players can lead outside the 50 or if they need to run onto the other half of the ground to get a loose ball then so be it. Pretty sure the penalty for breaking it was a...
