I started this thread because I'm interested in the range of views
We have a lot invested in him
If he'd played 50 games Iva I might be with you
I'm happy to see what 2016 brings, but I agree by the end of the year I think we'd be expecting a lot more than he's currently delivering
Taken as #1 in the 2012 minidraft
(I'm not sure where that puts him in terms of overall ranking)
Been part of the organisation since 2013, playing NEAFL, then AFL from 2014 on
This is his 4th year
He's averaging about 10 disposals and a goal a match with a few marks
What are people's expectations?
On reflection I'm kind of happy with this draft
A nice rest on picking up 17yo "superstars" who already have offers from Geelong Hawthorn and Melbourne for 2 years time
Take a breather, see if we picked some nuggets out of the turds and plunge back in the deep end next year
Gee I hope not
And I bet he'd be rancid if he doesn't get 12+ games this year
He'll be 20 next year
The great Sam Day had played 40 odd games by the time he was 20
Another Taswegian with zero go home factor
I think we're seeing a pattern
WA and Tassie boys
Even if a WA kid wants to go home his opportunities are going to be limited by the fact there's only 2 teams
We're steering well clear of SA and Vic and NSW
Re: Round 2. GC vs. St. Kilda.
not sure if you're taking the puss, but the guy played half a game on a bloke with a dodgey shoulder, kicked the ball out on the full twice and got votes?
I think I'm starting to understand whats wrong with the club
Re: Trent Mackenzie
I think we all focussed on Smith Swallow Matera as our elite youg'uns at the start of the season, but I think he is going to be a gun.
