Most hated players of all time

If he wants to do that he has to argue why my points are incorrect. Nothing is said without argument so nothing to respond to. But even then he is wasting his time. Im not talking football in this offseason. I cant stand to talk about football while our club is run by Scott, carter, cook and...

    Top 50 for the Purists

This would make more sense if you remove the last four attributes from your list. You actually mark Ablett snr downwards for being more powerful and imposing yet you have power and presence on the list. Speed is also a form of power and not so much to do with grace, flair etc. If you delete...

Most hated players of all time

Why are most football supporters such morons? ducking involves bowing under a tackle not lowering the body so the head gets tackled high. Selwood doesnt duck. Staging involves faking hits. Selwood again never does that. His frees are due to neither ducking nor staging. Selwood uses a different...

Top 5 best grand final performances for no Norm Smith

Langford had five kicked on him in a half of football despite Ablett getting bugger all supply. Langford was murdered. History suggests the umps did enough to get the Hawks over the line in the first quarter.

Most hated players of all time

Steven Baker and harry obrien were pissed when he didn't allow them to get away with literally man rape on the football field. Made him a hero amongst most supporters. Oh wait you are a saints supporter. Explains everything.

No one outside south Australia cares. Most probably can't even remember who Josh Carr, Brogan and Monfries even are.

List is meaningless without Rodney grinter and David Rhys jones. G Williams should be there as well.

Top 5 best grand final performances for no Norm Smith

And yet ablett was better than all of them and clearly should of won the medal.

Langford went on to him in the dying minutes of the second qtr and spent the entire second half on him.

    Rank the Geelong 07-11 stars

Ablett should be top without question. Johnson in the top 5 (constantly underrated by Geelong fans) and Enright doesn't make top 5 (constantly overrated by Geelong fans. Ablett Scarlett Selwood Johnson Bartel Chapman Enright

    Best forwardline duos

Best treo was Ablett, Stoneham and Brownless. Would put Stoneham ahead of Brownless in the best due category. Ignoring the Geelong ones cos I'm biased I would go in order: 1) Brereton Dunstall 2) Carey Longmire 3) Lloyd Lucas 4) Lockett and Loewe 4) Robran Modra

    Greatest AFL team (1990 onwards)

You still haven't answered the question about why you are ranking forwards on most goals kicked and not averages let alone actual talent?
  22. Seeds

    Greatest AFL team (1990 onwards)

Brereton was definately better at his peak but that was before 89. With the exception of 87 and 95 Kernahan ranks as one of the most overrated footballers of all time. I would have S.Loewe and Chris Grant ahead of Kernahan, although not David Neitz, Kernahan was better than that spud.

    Greatest AFL team (1990 onwards)

True, but 5 stellar years is more than enough to get you in the team.
  24. Seeds

    Greatest AFL team (1990 onwards)

Rubbish. He was the best player in the comp in 1991 and the best centre half forward in the game from 89 to Carey came along in 93. Although the last half of his 93 season he would of been pushing Carey as well.

    Greatest AFL team (1990 onwards)

Would also Then why is Lloyd in your team? Most goals kicked when he has played that many more games over the period is such a silly determinant. Silvagni was a grappler who got away with things that no one else did and they had to change the rules to stop his dirty tactics. No one truly...

    Greatest AFL team (1990 onwards)

Carey also named Jackovich as the best he ever played on so you cant exactly use Carey as an argument here. If we are just going on talent rather than actual achievement in a position than Stoneham gets the nod ahead of Neitz anyway. As does Pavlich.
  27. Seeds

    Greatest AFL team (1990 onwards)

There was nothing personal about what I said. If anyone put the same post as you I would of said the same thing. What has most goals got to do with it? Surely averages is a much better indicator of who the best full forward is. Even averages is not the final decider either. If most is how you...

Neitz at centre half back. Really? He barely played there and when he did he wasn't near the best. Tim McGrath has more claims on that position then Neitz. However, surely Jackovich has to win that spot.

    Greatest AFL team (1990 onwards)

You really don't know much about football if you don't have Lockett, Ablett and Williams in your sides. They are all in the top 5 players over the time period along with Carey and Ablett Junior.
