Maybe the idea is to get pick 28 from Carlton (who also currently hold pick 25) in exchange for Tarni Brown.
Kodi Jacques and Molly Eastman, in separate deals, were both traded for pick 27 last year so that value stacks up.
Molloy was certainly making more than $120k by the end of her time at Collingwood. Still not as much as Davey, who has been on at least $150k since leaving Carlton.
Are you sure you're thinking of Tarni Brown? The only one I remember was Bonnici beautifully spinning out of a tackle at the centre bounce and sending it into the forward pocket of the other team (Melbourne, oddly enough, in 2019: 1.30 remaining in Q2).
Comparing what the 2 players had shown at age 21 (White turned 22 a month ago), it's the glaring difference. In 2019 Bonnici had a DE of 47%, i.e. rock bottom for any role/position.
Well if you're that high on Bonnici, the good news is you're bringing in a 22yo version of her... except she can also do this wonderful thing called kick the ball (in the right direction):
She already had an easy passage. Could've just nominated for the NSW draft, no trade required.
Today's announcement means Collingwood have a much better chance of fair compensation if Molloy does want to join Sydney:
...There are more than 40 AFLW players making at least $100,000 per season. And you can bet they aren't distributed evenly across the league (e.g. Sydney might have 0 or 1, while Collingwood might have 3 or 4). So it's impossible to extract meaning from the tier payments, since it barely...
Kinda haven't played each other in recent years. Last time the two teams met was in Collingwood's wooden spoon season of 2019 (13-point loss in Morwell).
Overall GWS have a 2-1 record, with the Pies' only win coming in 2017, led by Mo Hope's 2 goals and 9 score involvements. She would kick...
Section 7.3 of the Standard Playing Agreement ("Equalisation Measures") means there is theoretically very little limitation on what the AFL can do in terms of player movement.
But there is no chance of them actually forcing a player to move to a new club against her will, regardless of contract...
Some of the details are TBC. There is talk of a points system being introduced that will limit the amount of quality players each team loses via free agency. A points system was going to be used for when North and Geelong entered, but it was scrapped (mainly because it involved a mandatory...
Doesn't really matter in the context of expansion signings anyway:

But, for what it's worth, Sarah Rowe is contracted for next season...
Interested to hear thoughts on 3-2-1 votes for any of the AFLW matches over the weekend in this thread:

Still time to vote!
