Haynes is still in very good form, there is no chance they will give him up with a first round pick to take him. It's one year left. The cap is under control now, I can see someone coming after him with us paying some of the contract but that's about it.

I agree that spending anywhere near 800k to prise him out of GWS is a bad idea. At 650k over multiple years he is worth it, he rarely misses games and has been a game winner multiple times this year as a swingman. He can be elite in the backline when playing the intercept/rebound distributer...

I actually don't think he would mind playing as a defender. He's deadly back there. Giants just NEED him to be a forward. I agree he isn't worth band 1 unless you play him as a defender. He's prime Haynes adding on elite disposal.
