Be interesting if the Hawks send Brockman and Lions Robertson to the PSD. Wonder which one WC will pick?
Seems they’re very keen on both so will use fair trade value for each.
I'm not sure about that. When we lost our FA's a few years back, we were only notified the day after the deal was confirmed. It may have changed since??
I was under the impression, the AFL allocates the compensation pick after the deal has gone through, not during the 3 day window that teams are given to match?
Roughie wasn't the priority pick.
It wasn't a handout, just the rules at the time. Pies got Pendles, Tigers got Tambling.
If your mob get band 1 for Ben, then so be it but i'd be upset if they hand over Sanders as well. It's up to the Bombers if they want to pony up but they have one eye on...
Yeah he said we're still a chance but the pessimistic side of me sees the writing on the wall. Am still smarting over the rabbit incident 2 years ago 😞
Was hoping the Hawks would grab him as he slid considerably in the draft. Was touted top 5 before he did his ACL. Don't know what his value is now but we hold the Pies 2nd rounder (currently 20).
The cats will get it done.
If their net result after Thursday is Cameron, Smith and Dahlhaus for picks 13, 15 and *(whatever the steak knives the Giants want) then that's a great haul.
They did well with the Kelly deal last year.
Cool your jets Dazza, have a look a your deals for Ryder and Dixon.
17 and 37 for Ryder who at 26 was one of the best rucks going around.
1st and a 2nd for Dixon again one of the best key forwards going around. Suns demanded 2 x 1st round picks but Port wouldn’t relent and handed over what...
I think you’ll find it hard pressed for any gun players wanting to go to the GC (in its current state).
If GC don’t think they’ll be able attract 2 a graders from one club with pick 3, I feel they will match.
Suns should have already been shopping pick 3 around to see what they could potentially get from other clubs.
If peanuts, then match
Else, take pick 3.
Maybe one or two but we know realistically the most we could hope for is your 2nd round pick this year or next.
Realistically we think a pick in the low 100's should get it done going on last weeks form.
GC know what they're getting and it ain't a quality hawthorn player. They are however, satisfied with the trade.
Word is, O'Meara has organized removalists and is heading to his home in Richmond.
Thanks raffrox for taking such a vested interest in the hawthorn football club. Your time and effort in constructing your posts are much appreciated.
Be sure in the fact that our future is in safe hands and our success at trade/draft weeks have been, not withstanding the angst of our supporters...
It's currently pick 14 (maybe 2017 1st if hawks get their preference) and a swap of later picks. Deal will be announced this week.

Would you stay if your employer offered you a lot less at your next pay review? Seems like the Swans don't value him unlike some other mercenaries at their club.
Hawks have always been reasonable when it comes to trading both players in and out. You'll find your club will be appeased when this all comes out in the wash.

Manchester city is owned by a wealthy Arab consortium that injects 100's of millions into the club.
Hawks generate their own wealth and don't have to rely on handouts like others. *cough*
Who are GC owned by and who injects millions into them?
Look in the mirror when asking who the new...
Be interesting to see which deal gets done first.
Prestia or JOM, I think one will determine the other.
I personally think the Tigers will part with 6 as they know they are getting a gun and won't have to worry about the lottery of the draft. As a Hawks supporter, pick 6 is a curse for us.
