I get what he’s saying, we’ve recruited the upstanding citizen from a great family in the past instead of the best talented player.
Think he’s missed the mark with this one though, as Oliver’s situation appears to be heading down a dangerous path
Old mate Whately even jumped on the good old bias bus again saying pick 5 is the starting point. That would literally be the end point, not the starting point
Possibly, but even if no other team would swoop he’s still not heading to the PSD, which is why I don’t understand why we waste our time talking about it tbh
TBH I think major hurdle in this trade is whether it will be this years first or a future first. I’d imagine GC will want this years, where as AFC would prefer it to be a future first
Ummmm then why are we known as the feeder club? And that’s without any early draft picks or academies like some other lucky teams that we won’t mention
Agreed, Melbourne future first is a better result. Melbourne would have to become back 2 back premiers for their future pick to be later than 17. Not to mention pick 17 this year is actually 19.
also how many times in recent history have we seen the reining premiers have a poor year the...
Actually I’ve only heard the opposite. Every single media person believes a fair and reasonable deal has been offered. For once the media isn’t portraying us as the bad guy…..actually feels kinda weird
This is the problem, Sydney are now rating him higher than a 2 time AA and 2 time bnf winner. But yea a guy in his mid 20’s with PB of 3rd in a bnf is clearly gonna be our best player
I’m reluctant to go down the PD avenue for a second time in a row, but as long as they’ve offered a fair and reasonable deal trade first up, then I’d be comfortable going to the draft. No point over paying during a rebuild
Lol literally have the second highest pick in the club’s history, and they reckon it should be traded haha
credit to him though, he did say they don’t value picks the same as others do
