    Traded Brisbane trade #18, #19 and 2021 R2 to Melbourne for #25, #68, #69 and 2021 R1

Melbourne seem very keen to get a pick around what would’ve been their first rounder this year
  2. jackess

Traded Darcy Fort traded with #41 to Brisbane for #50 and F3

Is probably the best of the few options we have
  3. jackess

    Traded Brisbane trade #18, #19 and 2021 R2 to Melbourne for #25, #68, #69 and 2021 R1

You'd think most years the players taken around that pick are most likely to win a flag

    Traded Brisbane trade #18, #19 and 2021 R2 to Melbourne for #25, #68, #69 and 2021 R1

Not as bad as it looks. Last years draft was horrible. This year looks a lot stronger top 25-30 picks. We got burnt with Collingwood bidding on Coleman at pick 24 which compounded the trade. Not much difference between 19 and 25. The 2021 2nd rounder is a bit of a loss but we're tight for list...

Retired Aaron vandenBerg [retiring from AFL]

Spud. Surprised he lasted so long
  6. jackess

Recommitted Sydney Stack [re-signed for 2022]

Would consider it with a no nightclubbing clause

Recommitted Sydney Stack [re-signed for 2022]

I'd love him off the half back line for the next 8-10 seasons
  8. jackess

Recommitted Josh Schache [contracted and staying at Western Bulldogs]

What happened to his goal kicking? 1 goal from 6 shots Will I keep getting quoted every 10th game he plays when he plays an ok game?
  9. jackess

Recommitted Lachie Neale [OOC 2023 - Will honour his contract]

Yep and the rebuild wasn't over in 2015

What about the team you out out against us? Must have been a different Fremantle. Richmond and West Coast were around the same ladder position. If that's what you're aiming for then that's ok

Finish off your rebuild? Are you dreaming?

I think 'excited' is the word they used when describing the prospect of Neale returning. Fans (who overate draft picks) might not want him and be happy not playing finals for at least a few more years but you'd doubt the club would think that way

Nope we've learned it the hard way

Hopefully they're both still at Freo in a few years

Which one is most likely to play in a premiership for their current team? If Mitchell is to be offered up for draft capital or to free up cap space to go after someone younger it's very different to Neale requesting a trade and Brisbane holding out for more value to keep themselves up the top...

And hopefully has a big game against Freo and all the kids they're playing

Ah the old; third rounder + third rounder + fourth rounder + C grader + dud player = first round draft pick

Can he bring along a time machine to 2019 as well?

Neale and pick 18 for Fyfe?

It didn't work for Brisbane for a long time as well until they were able to attract the right ones

This sounds a lot like Brisbane but then Fagan/Noble/Swann fixed the culture and we started trading for Cameron, Neale, Adams, etc. I imagine if we didn't start bringing in readymade players we'd be stuck around 12th like Freo

Recommitted Lachie Neale [OOC 2023 - Will honour his contract]

You have to do both though to have sustained success instead of just a blip like Freo had 10 years ago. You're more likely to stay in the netherzone like Freo have recently. Especially if you're relying on interstate talent.
  23. jackess

Recommitted Lachie Neale [OOC 2023 - Will honour his contract]

They're especially overrated for teams like Freo who struggle to hold onto them

We don't need those picks for Ashcroft Trading Neale to allow us to maybe draft a slightly better 18 year old this year. Won't be happening
  25. jackess

So Neale is worth a 6 pick upgrade?
  26. jackess

Recommitted Lachie Neale [OOC 2023 - Will honour his contract]

Because he wants to raise his kids in WA

If you get Neale. Next year. If you don't. 8-10 years
