Not as bad as it looks. Last years draft was horrible. This year looks a lot stronger top 25-30 picks. We got burnt with Collingwood bidding on Coleman at pick 24 which compounded the trade.
Not much difference between 19 and 25.
The 2021 2nd rounder is a bit of a loss but we're tight for list...
What about the team you out out against us? Must have been a different Fremantle.
Richmond and West Coast were around the same ladder position. If that's what you're aiming for then that's ok
I think 'excited' is the word they used when describing the prospect of Neale returning.
Fans (who overate draft picks) might not want him and be happy not playing finals for at least a few more years but you'd doubt the club would think that way
Which one is most likely to play in a premiership for their current team?
If Mitchell is to be offered up for draft capital or to free up cap space to go after someone younger it's very different to Neale requesting a trade and Brisbane holding out for more value to keep themselves up the top...
This sounds a lot like Brisbane but then Fagan/Noble/Swann fixed the culture and we started trading for Cameron, Neale, Adams, etc.
I imagine if we didn't start bringing in readymade players we'd be stuck around 12th like Freo
You have to do both though to have sustained success instead of just a blip like Freo had 10 years ago. You're more likely to stay in the netherzone like Freo have recently. Especially if you're relying on interstate talent.
