He was always going to be a good cheap pick up for the Saints. This is a guy who identified the Melbourne fashion industry as a reason to move clubs. He did the dirty on the club after being a borderline delist at times at Freo.
As others have said, it's hard to see what the Eagles youth might be able to do in the current situation but I also think that playing in a team like this can damage their development. I feel it's going to be a long 4-5 years for the Eagles and knowing when to back in a young player or move them...
I think this is a business decision for Lobb and by extension, Young. Lobb is going to get more guaranteed money over more years from the Dogs. So it doesn't have the same pull of family issues etc...
I think as well the ill-considered way Young handled the request last year didn't help. Also...
How is this different to the Polec deal and its possibly only $100k per year off the contract that Gold Coast is trading pick 7 away to get rid of.
It's a huge investment. Good luck to Logue but I wouldn't be happy if it was my team.
So yeah, that's $250k to $300k per year more than us.
If it's a 5 year deal compared to our 4 then it's up to a total contract worth $2 mil more than Freo's!
The Roos are officially in Gold Coast territory. $700k a year for Thomas, $750-$800k for Logue, JHF leaving.
I'm feeling the assistance...
Not sure about "people". It's a SEN puff piece that they used as Facebook content as well.

You're basically quoting a Facebook post.
No one is disputing his potential but posting the same crappy ranking that was said as a throw away line on the radio is just a bit embarrassing.
I'd be surprised if the AFL assistance package (F2 and F3) haven't been earmarked for Logue and Tucker.
It's exactly the kind of trade the AFL intended those picks to be for and would make the Roos better straight away next year.
I doubt a contracted Clark will move and a BHill move might not...
I saw it somewhere amongst 30 articles I've read. Who knows where. Some have said $3.5 mil over 5, some $3 mil over 5. Either way, substantially more than what we offered.
That's why I picked multiple trades. It's the Dees supporters picking one off random trades that support that they'll get more than what you'll actually get.
Too many unique factors in the Boyd deal. Million dollar contract, Griffin was captain of the Bullies at the time?, involved an expansion club where values always seem a bit weird.
So yeah, I'm fully aware trade threads are the equivalent of the Bay but these are my non-trolling thoughts.
Three trades that I've heard mentioned in this thread that can't be used are:
Dangerfield trade - he was a RFA and the Crows traded to get slightly more than the FA compo
Weller trade -...
