Public housing and private housing generally are 2 very separate things with little impact on eachother. I doubt too many property investors go for the very low end where there is competition from public housing.

The only Giants fans I know have 2 memberships. Their actual club they have always supported and Giants - so they can see more than just 1 or 2 games each year (when their team comes to Sydney to plan Swans or Giants). That said, I dont know many Swans members either, but plenty of SCG members...

While they will pretend to care I dont think they really care at all. Their goal is to make as much money as possible and if rich people are willing to pay more then they make more money.
