I agree that it probably should have just been Western Sydney Giants. The Greater adds nothing...maybe more G.
But it's done now and I cant see them changing it.
Crowd was great on the weekend. Two contenders clashing early in the season.
This weekend will be much tougher. Can't see many...
Nah but it's usually pretty full there around 11k people or so.
I'd imagine we have around 7k members there but that's a massive guess.
I think having two home games straight up will be great for numbers to get going.
I think there will be more Giants fans than Pies fans at this one.
Not by a huge amount but it'll do. Doesn't help that the members side isn't shown on the broadcast...two home games back to back in Sydney will help I think.
I think a lot of GWS members are Inner Westies. The Women's team have played a fair few games at Henson and it's usually really popular. Plenty of Giants merch around Inner West but it is technically zoned Swans.
Henson Park is getting an upgrade and GWS has a lot of inner Sydney fans. Personally I like the idea because Henson Park is awesome....but I doubt it'll ever get to the standard to host a h&a season game.
Maybe if we are playing Tassie
I honestly have no idea what they do in there for the show....but if it's just horses surely they can find another spot. There's so much room around there that won't kill off their best tenants.
I genuinely think the biggest issue the Giants have ATM is the Sydney Show.
Competitive on field.
Match Day is a very good experience barr the low crowds.
2 things need to change.
1. Trains! What the actual * is going on with the trains to Olympic Park? It means that from say...
