It would be a great day, a real role model for hard work and determination for our indigenous brothers and sisters to aspire to (not that there aren't others) and to prove that Australians really are mature and regardless of who you are and what your background, you can be the best you can be...
Yes but income managed cards have restrictions on them, just like when people get vouchers etc from Slavos or Vinnies, they cannot buy gift cards, cigarettes etc
It is because the anti-vaxx movement don't quote facts truthfully. Constantly ask for proof, and then when it is presented, come up with anecdotal stories and pretend they are the scientific facts, like.....but my kid got vaccinated and then got sick so what you are quoting is wrong, vaccines...
This is what we are up against, this comment was made on the site that reported SA's intention to legislate.
UNVACCINATED children would be banned from attending childcare, kindergarten or preschool and the no jab, no pay policy is ludicrous.
Would that not mean a % of kids will not be...
The problem is that it is unlikely to be their kids that end up dead, it will be the poor kid that's been through chemo that can't get vaccinated for legitimate reasons that will end up the victim.
SA looking to legislate and ban unvaccinated kids from pre-school and child care.
Minister quoted as saying, she wants to hear the public's view but is not interested in the anti-vax campaigners (really she said campaigners) sprouting their non-evidence based rubbish.
This is going to get fun...
It is going to be remarkable to see this unfold, whether he is found guilty or innocent.
As Victoria only has the option for a trial by jury, I reckon the chances of him being found guilty are pretty high.
If he even gets back to Australia, my money is on him not being fit to travel.
Simply not true on either count.
It is not a live virus in the vaccination, so simply cannot give you the flu, and eating well and being fit and healthy may stop you dying from the flu, will not necessarily stop you getting it.
The problem with the whole anti-vcxx lobby (apart from being...
A 7 year old girl developed tetanus and was fighting for her life on a ventilator because her parents were offered a tetanus shot and refused it. Australian Vaccination-sceptics Network founder Meryl Dorey blamed the medical staff.
An 18 month old child is in hospital with it in Adelaide in a...
That's just not true. the vaccine is not a live vaccine so cannot give you the flu, and eating the right foods does not make you immune the virus, which by the way, kills thousands of people every year, but i guess they just don't count.
You are right to an extent though that if a fit healthy...
He is probably just saying that so his kids work hard and don't rely on a future windfall. My money is on they will get a chunk of it, they just won't know in advance.
Its flu vax season, waiting for all the anti-vaxxers to come out with the "Flu shot gives you the flu" and "Just eat healthy and you won't get the flu" crap, who wants to start.........
I knew a family once that left the brethren with their 5 kids, some of their stories were mind blowing really.
It was a huge step but they never looked back once they left, it was like they had found their paradise on the outside. Their kids had normal lives with Tv and parties, and got to play...
3 cases of measles diagnosed in Adelaide this week, authorities have indicated that it was likely shared at a public event i.e.: a farmers market where the first diagnosed person visited and the other 2 have in common.
Nothing wrong with farmers markets but they are probably full of hippies...
Can someone on this thread that is anti-vax post a link to just one peer reviewed medical journal article that supports your claims of vaccines being unsafe - just one will do.
Flu season coming up and the flu kills up to 3500 Australians yeah year, but I guess the flu vaccine is a bit risky...
An interesting read this.
Seems the church has all the power and there is no obligation on the clergy to report a thing, Pell has not broken any law if this is accurate and it seems to be.
"Misprision of felony was abolished in the United Kingdom in 1967, and all Australian States followed...
Unlikely that he will be found to have broken any law. In regards to not reporting perpetrators to the police back then was not in itself a crime as far I am aware - immoral certainly, but not a crime. Unlike now, mandatory reporting of child abuse was not a requirement of people in positions...
