Liked -gather round- went over there and had a great time. Works brilliantly in Adelaide- perfect venue. Looking forward to next year already. Really enjoyed going to the double header- keep that concept.
Learnt- it’s a very open season.
Hated-umm
Don’t think ‘worked out’ is the right term. The style of footy they have played under macrae is demanding and was always going to be small window of opportunity. Good on them for grabbing the flag last year. In a way their best footy was 2022-it was taking its toll by the latter half of 2023...
It wasn’t being ‘flashy’- it was being exciting and very skilful. Compelling viewing. Full of substance. I had no issues with his ‘accuracy’- and again-if you are just reliant on reading stats, you aren’t getting it. Footy skills are so much more than that.
Carey was a fantastic player. He was so reliable- I knew every time my team played north that he would show up and make life really difficult for us. Brilliant.
Ablett was something else- haven’t seen another player quite like him. I’d have thought if you’d seen him live you’d understand that...
I’m not really getting the sooking. It looks like a really good opening round - all interesting games this weekend and pretty good the following week. Can’t wait.
2022 for neutrals boring yes- 2007 - the cats football was so spectacular I can’t see how you couldn’t have enjoyed watching it. Just beautiful football.
Great coach. Intelligent commentator of the game. People are so full of it. Oh and he has been such a good coach that it means their team hardly ever beats Geelong, so they don’t like him.
Right call by the cats. No need to overthink everything- a zillion things impact the season and the ladder -this is like picking out the last free kick. Who cares? I wouldn’t be fussed if another team did it.
Besides- we will probs still be a good chance to knock off the doggies they way they...
Beyond belief that he was so sure and didn’t want to check it. Or that the field ump didn’t ask for a review. So crucial. Not good enough.’and the Cameron kick last week too- this stuff has to be addressed at the time- we can’t have such sloppy things, that are easily rectified, affecting the game.
Stengle. Guthrie. Clark. Bowes. Stewart, Holmes - all just bad luck. We had plenty of luck last year in the end so that’s how it goes. I‘m not complaining.
Reckon this port mob is a bit different from the past few years- tougher, bit classier, playing as a team, more resolve. I like them and fancy them to go a fair way. Should get home finals if they keep this up.
Don’t hate him, and while I appreciate his football, don’t love him either. Part of the problem is that if you play for gws, you just don’t matter in the end. If he played for Carlton, no doubt I’d hate him!
