As much as I love Hardwick, and how revered he will be forever in Richmond circles, there is a long list of players/coaches ahead of him to be acknowledged as Legends. He's obviously a walk-up starter for a Hall of Fame spot, as is Clarko, when combining the playing and coaching, but a long way...
Anyone else getting just enough lagginess in live vision that is frustrating? Not unwatchable but it is just really annoying and shouldn’t be happening when every other streaming service is perfectly fine
Also tried all the tricks of uninstalling and reinstalling etc
I bought a portable monitor so that I could stream sport while working from home on a bigger screen.
NFL Game Pass - fine
9now for the tennis - fine
Tried Netflix, Paramount, Stan, Amazon - fine
Kayo/Binge - not compatible with HDMI (get sound but no picture)
Absolute rort, so stuck watching...
Greg Stafford flattening Spida Everitt with an elbow to the head in a ruck contest in the 2nd quarter in an early 2003 game.
Spida's influence was gone, and Hawthorn gave up a 51pt lead early late in the 2nd qtr to lose by 20pts. Richmond kicking 14.4 to 0.4 from late in the 2nd qtr to halfway...
Betfair's Brownlow predictor had Gulden on 4 votes at the bye, so this is not as egregious as you think it is.
Could set your watch to these meltdowns every year, that along with should ANZAC Day be shared, should State of Origin come back, should the GF be at night. Just take it for what it...
Please enlighten me as to where the maths is wrong there. Ignore the team I support, just trying to critique the data he has presented.
Very inconclusive and hardly a silver bullet.
Completely flawed! How does he land on 56% as a game of 'large differential' - in that case, say 40 free kicks are given, that is a 22-18 free kick count. Hardly excessive and more likely just variance. More likely that number's been plucked out to make the outcome look good. He calls out a 15-5...
I was an impressionable 7yr old kid in 1995. The old man had raised me a Carlton supporter. Then Easter Sunday 1995 came along, the uncles who are all mad Richmond fans took me to Waverley in the pouring rain for a Richmond v Hawthorn match. It was a dour match to say the least, but intense all...

End of this clip, the loudest roar of the day, and when I started to believe we were in the match. Very fond memories
2011 is criminally underrated. The best three quarters of footy that you're ever likely to see, and suffers because of the blowout in the last. Varcoe's goal keeps that last quarter in the highlights package
From a purely Richmond perspective, three stand out to me:
2017 - Houli’s goal in the first quarter (was the loudest roar of the day) and was the point I felt we’re right into this. Then Lambert’s in the third quarter, the 7th in a row and was when I stopped and thought ‘s**t we’re 6 goals up...
Surely Basil gets a mention. Has one job and completely butchers it:
Announces the Norm while Embley stands awkwardly to the side
Doesn’t even allow the coach to open his mouth
This is why the GF should never leave the G!
My first experience of it was at the 2014 Elimination Final. Atmosphere was electric but didn’t realise it was so close to the start of the game. By the time we sat down and looked up we were already 3 goals down. Good times
GF: Ignoring the 2017 and 2019 GFs (amazing as a fan, genuine best days of life sort of stuff, but not the best games of footy) I would have to say the 2011 GF. Criminally underrated, for three quarters was one of the best GFs ever, and the Cats pulling away in the last is all that has it...
Why is this even a conversation? Brisbane of 2001-03 are one of the best teams of all time and as much as I am loving this period and the way the Tiges are going, noone in their right mind would put us on that pedestal.
Take great pleasure in telling this story.
Was a 6yr old Carlton supporter with the old man, when on Easter Sunday 1995 the whole extended family went to a freezing, stormy Waverley Park (very close to home) for a Richmond v Hawthorn game before coming home to celebrate Easter with the girls...
This, so much this.
Was lucky enough to have tickets and was sitting bottom level on the wing that side. Never a really rated Varcoe as a hard nut but was impressed by that effort on defensive 50. Then just watched him run...and run...and run, then got on the end of it.
The old man and I just...
