    Jumper clash fails

League can still have clashes, especially with the modern games speed and priority on offloads.

    Jumper clash fails

If the dees aren’t wearing a clash kit against Richmond in a stand alone yearly fixture as the away team then It’s pretty evident the whole system is cooked.

    Jumper clash fails

Yeh this is trash. They’re both wearing one offs for a yearly fixture now too. This is farcical

Roast St Kilda in no mans land

Mate our midfield is s**t, no question but "in living memory". Unless your talking potential Hawthorn and North both have worse mid fields than us this season alone. No doubt youll come up with some caveat about how they have "gamebreakers" or whatever but factually right now weve got them...

    Jumper clash fails

Doing less work as a clash jumper the more white you add. Its a clash strip, who cares if it not the most aesthetically pleasing. Did the job magnificently'

    Jumper clash fails

Yes god forbid a club tried to turn a one off clash jumper into a bit of a throwback/potential kids fave. You must be a STACK of fun at parties.

    Jumper clash fails

    Lol. What an odd sentiment

    Jumper clash fails

The black stripes look thicker to me too though... Im not sure it actually is anymore white is it? If it is it would be negligible

    Jumper clash fails

That’s probably fair. Again adelaide announced this jumper at least a few weeks back and Melbourne really needs a third kit regardless but the before the season announcement would make sense.
  10. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

Not really, Melbourne clashes with a number of teams (inciuding their clash) so by rights should have a third kit regardless. Given the crows gather round jumper was announced like 3 weeks ago, and they worse it last year their opponent needs to create the contrast. I disagree completely with...

    Jumper clash fails

Yeh I personally don’t think that’s any better. In any event crows home game, wear what you like, dees jumper is the issue
  12. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

Crows home strip would have been worse cause it has way more red.
  13. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

Gong in I thought it would be completely fine but looking at it now Melbournes Royal is way darker than I remember. I don’t think you could really say it’s a clash but it’s not as good as it Could be

    Jumper clash fails

There was an article about "Freo" pushing for the purple top white shorts combo on the AFL website at the start of the year. I think it was referred to as a football department push but that might be wrong. Seems idiotic to me, as you note, Freo has probably the best home/clash set (its you...

    Jumper clash fails

Look overall i completely agree. Home team wears whatever home team wants, but i also think we need three kits. Home, away (white) and clash (third color) and if youre not the home team you ALWAYS wear your away or your clash. So im completely onboard with being very very prescriptive (and in...

    Jumper clash fails

I suppose black is just as much a clash as white... Red would make the most sense
  17. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

Okay well as you say that’s not an issue with the kits that’s a decision error. Freos kits are some of the very best for clash purposes
  18. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

What is your new clash. I’m a little sad if it is.
  19. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

I’m tipping home top, white shorts. chefs kiss

    Jumper clash fails

Port v Essendon has proper shitshow potential. Can’t wait.
  21. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

They can but the point is a predominantly white jumper coupled with dark shorts does make it hard to create a contrast (same argument as the number panels). You have a 50/50 kit. It just makes it a lot more difficult to contrast it. If north wants a white backed jumper it does make the most...

    Jumper clash fails

Broadly agree with all this (especially the white away/clash policy, ill win this board over at some point). I still think its just poor planning with the number panel, youre right, home team wears what they like, but if you jumper has a deliberate contrast between its front and back youre...

    Jumper clash fails

Black back with white numbers wouldnt just help the clash it would genuinely look better too.

Battles had 2 good seasons and is still going well. Govs had 2 good games but its your team.

Roast St Kilda in no mans land

I saw McGovern in this best 22 then almost spit out my coffee. Id have Battle a ******* mile in front of him personally. Rest looks pretty spot on
  26. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

Saints should (as we always do) wear our predominantly white clash strip today, no dramas there you’d think.
  27. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

It works for collingwood. White stripes on black, black shorts, black socks. Black stripes on white, white shorts, white socks. Simple stuff.
  28. phantom13

    Jumper clash fails

I actually cannot believe it. The afl had the chance to really do the worst possible thing here and managed not to. It’s staggering.

I reckon suoerclash refers to the junpers now. Carlton in the navy is a sure bet.
