As we get to the pointy end of the season AMW once again finds a way to butcher a race from the front row of the grid.
Heikki 100% to blame for that accident, but if AMW had not executed another one of his cluster**** front row starts it would not have happened.
If AMW was out of championship...
Are McLaren really that dumb to either:
a) not have Fry contracted for full seasons, or
b) let him forgo contractual obligations mid season, or
c) not have a non competition clause in it preventing him from jumping teams mid season?
**** I hate this track... more than Bahrain... more than Hungary... more than Spain... more than the Indy hybrid abomination... not quite as much as the V8 circuit around Homebush though.
Hard to believe he'd make a bigger mistake than Monteal to lose a road race, but there you go... don't think I've seen anything so stupid on a race track, which is saying a lot considering he drives in NASCAR.
Bonehead thing for Ambrose to do, but anytime NASCAR drives "road" courses its like watching 5 year olds driving dodgem cars.
Watching hacks like Jeff Gordon & Brad K continually punting blokes off from the rear, lap after lap with no penalty, makes a mockery of the term motor racing.
Its...
Cracking qualifying session, Q3 was very exciting.
AMW was fantastic to put it on the front row on the harder compound tyres, and whilst Hamilton grabbed pole with a great final Q3 lap you'd have to wonder if he's fried those super softs he has to start the race on.
Vettel really pulled it...
Ferrari have re-signed Massa for another two years, until the end of 2012.
Stupid move IMO, Kubica has more talent and race nous and should have been Ferrari's target to partner Alonso.
Wonder if Alonso had a say in retaining the services of the inferior Massa?
Oh please, one botched passing attempt does not warrant an award of this magnitude named after him... FFS Webber taking out Hamilton in Melbourne was just as bad.
If it had to be named after anyone it would be Paul Morris... a bigger ****wit in motor racing there is not.
Dario Franchitti, not because of his driving but because of being married to Ashley Judd.
The sight of her running down pit lane after the race, crying, barefoot, in a pretty little sundress made me wish one of the spotters had a high powered sniper rifle.
She should be banned from all...
Of course it was, but Heidfeld had less race reliability issues than Mark, so just checking if your logic is consistent.
Most of Seb's failures have been very strange, but his brake issue in Spain could well have been caused by driving too hard in dirty air. Maybe.
FWIW I think it is more...
I agree he is lacking maturity with how he is handling adversity this year. He needs to grow up and quickly because he is coming across as more of a goose the longer the season progresses.
Doesn't mean he is a dangerous team mate, dangerous driver, or there is any pattern on the track...
So given this you think Mark's reliability issues at Williams were as a result of breaking the car with his driving style too?
Can't have it both ways.
Seb's reliabilty issues have been strange and unique, nothing has failed more than once. Personally I don't think it is his driving...
The incident in this race was very ordinary, and he should get bollocked for it, but the accident in Melbourne was pure mechanical failure.
There is no pattern of dangerous driving here... people need to calm down and stop making s**t up to appease their agitated emotional state.
That would be like leaving Geelong to play for Fremantle.
Mercedes are basically a rebranded BAR/Honda... no way I'd leave an Adrian Newey designed, billionaire backed, front running team for them.
Disagree. They were very evenly matched. Mark qualified slightly better, Nick was much better on race day.
Without his reliability issues in the first two races Seb would be more than 30 points ahead of AMW in the championship currently.
Does that mean Seb is better according to your...
Nope.
I was saying Seb is lacking maturity and patience this year, first year he's had to deal with real adversity and he's not handling it well.
He's young he'll learn and be a better driver for it... he's got the perfect mentor in his team for how to handle adversity.
To extrapolate...
Get a ****ing clue... ridiculous move by Seb but he's still a kid and IMO this sort of incident will be a reality check for him (should be anyway).
His talent and potential is supreme, RBR will throw the sink at him to keep him.
Nothing to do with experience, he's just lacking maturity with dealing with reliability and team mate issues this season.
Although it went to a new level in this race, his gesture after the accident was pure petulance.
Mark really showed Seb what composure and professionalism is all about at the post race press conference.
Seb showing his lack of maturity this season, which is surprising giving he was seemingly much more composed last year. Time for the lad to grow up.
Goes to show what pressure does.
