There was a big gap between season 6 part 1 (episode 12 "Kaisha" aired 4/6/06) and season 6 part 2 (episode 13 "Sopranos Home Movies" aired 8/4/07).
Soprano Home Movies, what an episode!
🎶Under the boardwalk🎶
I find it really difficult to split them - usually my favourite is whichever I've watched most recently. I generally give the edge to Sopranos though because it's humour/sense of fun generally makes it more rewatchable. The Wire is superb but it is not an easy watch.
I haven't seen BCS. I really like BB, cheap imitation is harsh - I just don't think it reaches the levels of Sopranos or Wire or even a show like Bojack Horseman.
Breaking Bad is a cheap imitation, GOT was very good early but the last few seasons can't hold a candle to Sopranos. The Wire is the only show that comes close, the depth in the Sopranos is second to none.
The premise of the early episodes seemed to be set in the near future with technology playing a big part in the stories. They seem to have abandoned this because season 6 barely had any of these elements (the Aaron Paul episode does and I haven't watched the Salma Hayek one). A couple were just...
I really liked it though didn't know a lot about his history (the communist links, AEC inquiry, Strauss trial) - how much of it is fact and how much artistic license particularly the parts to do with Strauss and his manipulation of the inquiry?
After seeing it referred to on the Sopranos Autopsy blog I just binged the 1986 BBC serial The Singing Detective over the last couple of days (6 episodes). Outstanding. It could be a little off-putting for some at first but it is worth persevering with - I could see it being a little hokey in...
Surely this gets another season?? With all the garbage on TV how can a decent show like this not get renewed - too expensive? I've binged this show over the last few weeks and would be amazed if it doesn't get renewed, its had some really fantastic moments and great SciFi fare.
Watching The Orville, gave it a miss initially as I thought it would be a cheesy send up show - I should've given Seth McFarlane more credit, I gave it a go after some recommendations and it hasn't disappointed! Just finished season 2 and it is one of the better SciFi shows I've watched in a...
Just finished Star Trek Next Gen, had never watched it before. Much better than I expected season 3-5 from memory were brilliant.
Watched the first episode or 2 of Titans, it was ok but a little too cheesy for me. I'll go back and watch another couple to see if I warm to it.
Just watched the...
Most people drop off on the 2nd season due to the sudden change from the cops/streets to the docks so if you're loving the 2nd season you're in for a treat with the rest. Best show of all time next to Sopranos.
+1 for Mindhunter shattered this one isn't continuing
Twin Peaks
Red Dwarf - is it finished? They seem to come out with a new series every couple of years but it must be on the verge of finishing up.
There's shows I could nominate like Seinfeld or X Files but then I remember how the Simpsons...
This is what they need to be doing to expand the Star Wars universe - they don't need to keep rehashing the same storyline/characters. This is still linked in but it's a start, there is a whole galaxy they can explore, doesn't have to be limited to the Skywalker saga.
Bill Hicks
George Carlin
Richard Pryor
Dave Chappelle
Bill Burr
Next rung down Seinfeld/David, Gervais, Louis CK, Robin Williams special mention to Eddie Murphy for Delirious that set is unbelievable how tight it is - enhanced by PEDs I'm sure 🤣 - Billy Connolly & Jim Jeffries
There's a few...
Haha nah it's a Sony Bravia X90F I think so only a couple of years old 4K etc. Has to be something in the settings because it was like there was constant colour filter changes - very strange, hasn't happened on any other shows or apps but it wasn't happening on the AppleTV upstairs (on an older...
Finished this today, was ok, parts were enjoyable mainly the parts with Vader in it. The battle scene at the end where his helmet is broken is awesome.
I thought the dialog was a bit clunky though, similar issues though not as bad as the PT (haven't seen all of the ST yet).
I finished it on...
I watched the first episode of this last night - did anyone else have an issue where the colour hue kept changing? Hasn't happened with any other app/show on my tv, it was really distracting and annoying.
Will have to test on the AppleTV upstairs to see if the same issues on there.
I recently watched the episode where he fell in love with the hologram of the woman who designed the ships engines. Then she comes on board and he's just non stop hitting on her despite her clear disinterest plus the fact she's married. She finds out about the hologram version and is freaked...
I just love Bane in this show, what a brilliant send up of the character. Clayface and Dr Psycho are great too but Bane just makes me laugh all the time. Two notable ones are when the barista keeps calling him Bang and Bane wants to blow him up and turns out the Joker has been paying the barista...
Rewatching this for an easy comedy to watch before bed. The peripheral characters are great and some of the dialogue is just as good as Archer, Bojak, Rick & Morty etc
Season 3 hopefully appears later this year

Hard to go past Arrested Development, Curb or Office (UK) for top 3 but Extras, Peep Show, Utopia, Inbetweeners, IT Crowd, Trailer Park Boys, South Park, Bojak Horsemen, Community, Eastbound & Down, Alan Partridge, The League, League of Gentleman (sitcom?) all have moments/periods where they...
I'm about 2/3 of the way through attack of the clones now and oh my god it is bloody painful. Hayden Christensen is terrible but to be fair he didn't have a lot to work with, the script and dialogue are just cringeworthy and awful. The dialogue is like something out of a bad romance novel or...
I'm currently isolating with covid so thought I'd chuck some star wars on after watching the recent Disney shows (Mandaloria, Boba Fett and started The Clone Wars)
Started with the OT and watched New Hope and ESB yesterday. Finished Return of the Jedi and Phantom Menace today and will try and...
Yeah reading the Sopranos Autopsy indicates Chase didn't tell Joey Pantaleone whether Ralph actually did it or not so he played it as if Ralph were innocent in his final scene. Pretty interesting and shows that it could have played out completely differently if he'd been told that Ralph did...
I'm reading through Sopranos Autopsy as well as reading all the comments which is taking some time but I recently read through this episode and some subsequent ones.
The theory that Paulie lit the fire is a good one compounded by his saving the painting of pie O my from the fire and then...
