Great show, crap finish. Win by default. Two winners, should have split the prize.

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

Which is exactly what I’ve been trying to say. Your first post on this said Return of the Jedi didn’t mean Luke only AnaKin.

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

Then how did you think the title of the movie meant Anakin not Luke? I get you could include Anakin, but it’s not like he will be a Jedi in the galaxy post empire. He gets slightly redeemed and dies to be a ghost.

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

Anakin also probably/maybe? But Return of the Jedi is definitely Luke, when Luke asks Yoda “so I am a Jedi” and Yoda answers “not yet. Vader, you must confront Vader…” Then in maybe the best scene in all of Star Wars history, on Death Star II Luke proclaims “I am a Jedi, like my father before...

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

There are two episodes in the strange Boba Fett series that were basically Mandalorian episodes. I don’t know why they aren’t included in the Mando page on Disney+? They were both good episodes with important narrative considerations.

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

Dumb move to go for a swim in armour. They made it fairly obvious that BoKatan can wield the dark sabre much better than Mando. Mando is always in debt, to everyone now. What’s with the Jedi reference to Grogu? Jedi is not a species and he has rejected that path.

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

ANH told as as much as we needed to know and no more or less and quickly moved on. The pace was good and quick. It never got bogged down or complicated but kept you in awe. Last nights show was no where near that level but way more refreshing than Andor. Not as deep as Andor, but better...

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

Well paced I reckon is not bogged down in overly long and heavy dialogue that can get boring and confusing and sometimes the opposite of confusing where they explain too much. Some of the deepest mythology, westerns or war movies (Star Wars type realm) build storytelling in their own ways, with...

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

I wasn’t bored at all, there was plenty of good action throughout, so that is well paced. I love the lore behind the different Mandolorian sects. Compared with Andor which was so so slow, and as a consequence poorly paced, it really scooted along and had me engaged and entertained the whole way.

    Star Wars The Mandalorian

I enjoyed it a lot. It was well paced. Lots of action, and the story was still told throughout like good Star Wars. I’m intrigued by the different Mandolorian denominations and where Din will eventually find his home and where those sects will end up finding their place in the galaxy.

Star Wars Cassian Andor Live Action Tv Series

If that’s all ‘normal’ Star Wars is to you? go watch Marvel rubbish. The deepest most thoughtful scenes in Star Wars history are ObiWan giving Luke his dads light sabre, Yoda teaching Luke “you are not crude matter…” and Luke surrendering to the Emperor “you have failed, your highness, I am a...

Star Wars Cassian Andor Live Action Tv Series

The force is not magic. It’s not like a Marvel superpower either. Although if you watch the sequel trilogy it is definitely getting closer to these ideas. The force is like a spiritual energy that is tapped into when negative emotions and thoughts are overcome. It should and needs to take time...

Star Wars Cassian Andor Live Action Tv Series

I get the bureaucracy part. I get authoritarian regimes need to be governed with fear from the top down, and how small minded men and women with big egos want to be a part of whoever is in power. I can even see the parallels during covid how we had neighbours dobbing in neighbours, and police...

Star Wars Cassian Andor Live Action Tv Series

I’ve not seen THX-1138 but love American Graffiti and have reached back and watched the John Ford westerns and Akira Kurosawa classics to see where he was inspired from. I don’t necessarily think he’d like it or not, just I didn’t really enjoy it. It was super dialogue heavy, to the point of...

Star Wars Cassian Andor Live Action Tv Series

After watching the final episode on my own, the wife and teenagers dropped off after about 4-5 weeks in, I unfortunately can’t rate that series too high. It was soooo slow, like agonisingly. My wife sat down with me during one of the last episodes and laughed “is this still dragging on the same...

Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi.

Looking forward to it. I won’t have a chance for about a week or so to watch it, the shorts look impressive. Clone Wars and Bad Batch are mostly improving, so expectations are high.

I also do the subtitles to help get everything said. They do mumble and whisper a bit too much, especially names. These last few years I’ve watched 3-4 movies a week on SBS world movies, so subtitles don’t distract me at all and help me understand everything.

Star Wars Cassian Andor Live Action Tv Series

Starting to enjoy it now. I thought the first two episodes were a bit too slow. I know that is needed to get things going. And I couldn’t understand much of the dialogue. I need subtitles, I watch many French movies on Worldmovies and don’t miss any dialogue because I read it all🤣). Episode 3...

    Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)

Went to a mates house for dinner last night. Another mate was there. All of us in late 40’s early 50’s all were talking glowingly of the series. All the teens there loved it too. So it seems normal Star Wars fans do actually like it. These people are massive Star Wars fans, not very political in...

    Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)

I thought the Reva character and actress were very good. As a viewer we rightly despised the character, which meant she played the role well. Then we started to understand her motives. As for young Leia, just perfect as both an actor and correct portrayal of our young princess. Hayden was very...

Canto was the single worst part she doesn’t kill Luke because he represents her as a little girl, he is innocent with force potential.

    Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)

I reckon one of the best things about Star Wars is it’s ‘rewatchableness’, more than any movies because the world building and timeless story telling principles. To rewatch the original and hear just snippets of of world building that fuel the viewers imagination are just incredible. These...

Just seen the final episode. Fantastic! Tears a few times. Just absolutely loved it. So did all the family. Just so good. I’m going to read back after this post because I don’t want my opinion changed by others, credits still on in the background. A much better feeling than the weird last movie...

    Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)

I and my wife and two older teens are loving this series. Our complaint is it is not long enough. I’d love to see many more episodes. We know the movies back to front. And have seen the Clones Wars. We liked the CW’s and loved the season 7 encore series, but don’t know them back to front. But I...

I am truly surprised there is even one complaint. The debate has been very civil and relevant to the show. I have read 10x worse debates just on the Bulldogs board, where we are all meant to be friends. This sacking impacts our beloved Star Wars in many ways and is so relevant to 2021. I hope...

She should have prefaced what she was about to say was an analogy not a direct comparison. The analogy holds up well, that in this hyper sensitive time we have people ostracised for saying seemingly innocent things that were normal 2 years ago and others swearing and cussing some of the most...

Movie Star Wars - Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker - Spoilers and Rumors

You should, it’s watchable because it’s Star Wars and has great cinematography. But it’s also the most confused Star Wars. It’s a train wreck in its narrative, its messages and in its Star Wars lore. The small minded producers have no grasp of classic story telling and their obvious agenda...

I agree bringing back all those dead characters is silly. I never got and still don’t, the love for Boba Fett? When I heard that the first Star Wars series was on a character that looked like Boba Fett I was disappointed, but have loved it. Yet even though I am trying to watch the cartoons I...
