Wills has a deeply flawed individual. Was his attitude to the indigenous population founded on racists beliefs - probably. You'd be hard pressed to find a white-person then who wasn't. Howver in his time there is plenty to show he was seen as a bit of failure by both his family and society.
He...
Since when did the media - left or right, ever focus on printing positive stories about anything? The fact that you want to call this out as a socialist conspiracy says a lot more about you than it does the media
A one-off drink driver offence and most players will get a bit of a rap over the knuckles, will serve a bit of club suspension and come back wiser and better for it (hawk captains aside).
But the guy has form - broken hand in a bar fight which he lied to the club about.
Collingwood leadership...
All sounds a bit sus - we hear the police shouting 'police dont move', yet the same report pointed out that Bomber wasn't home. So who were they telling not to move, his cat? Or maybe they were interested in his partner (unpaid HECs fees?).
Also the door was battered down, yet it looked fine in...
If (and it is a really big if) he gets done for trafficking, it is a minimum four year suspension under WADA rules, which was what Matthew Stokes was facing
I wouldn't underestimate the effect of a guilty plea of a lesser charge reducing the higher expense to the office of public prosecutions in pursuing the more serious charge.
Rohan shows that this rumour is BS
* He has recently extended
* Even if we wanted him, being not a free agent means we would either have to pay overs from him which we wont because because we are not Melbourne.
* If we couldn't get him in a trade, we would have no hope in the PSD.
Now it may...
You can't 'sack' a player for social media misuse, the AFLPA would have a field day. More likely he has been told that his time is over at Carlton, but they would still honour his contract.
Furthermore you can be held to account unto the law evn if what you say is a proven and public fact if it is potentially prejudicial to a court course. For example you couldn't report about Adrian Bayley's previous rape convictions in the lead up to his trial.
If he does play, he can expect a barrage of abuse and accusations being hurled at him. Are security going to throw members of the crowd out when the inevitable rapist calls come out?
At the level of the seriousness of the crime, he certainly is. Make no mistake, rape is a far more serious crime than a simple assault charge (ie Scotland).
Considering he has been charged, the sex crimes squad believe that their is more than just a victim statement and that there is a...
Nope again, it was the OPI that detemined that the investigation was not up to standard and that charges should have been laid.
You seem to be confusing the guilt of the police with the guilt of Milne.
The guilt lies with the police botching the initial investigation. There was enough evidence then to put Milne to a court of law to test an accusation of rape.
Yes, that is what has happened - police corruption or at best police incompetence stopping these charges from being brought years ago, which would have at least suspended Milne's career.
Why are you saying this? There has been no suggestion of the woman concerned pursuing this case ever since the initial allegation. It's been the police and the poor initial investigation that has led to this resurfacing.
And yet you are pursuing her. Why?
Maybe - but rape is a very difficult charge.
Something like 85% of sexual assault cases don't even get reported. Of those that do, only 10% see a conviction against the perpetrator.* Effectively only a very small percentage of assault victims ever see justice.
The only hard and fast facts we...
So you're saying that Milne should have a different sort of justice just because people like him more than Lovett?
You know the allegation is that the cops liked him as well and applied justice inappropriately, which is why we are in this mess now.
People have a right to have justice applied...
You'd be wrong, couldn't really care now much he is getting paid. The figure would seem reasonable if you take into consideration that given his other interests, it was always going to take a lot of money to get him to bother doing coaching at any level.
Re: 'Saints Girl' claims affair with Nixon
While I can't stand Nixon and even if we believe everything the girl has alledged, it is still a case of 'so what?'
Back in May last year, the AFL thought such actions were nothing to do with them, see...
