Excellent News
When I was in QLD for a couple of years I used to really live for the weekly SANFL game screened on Sports AFL (Optus).
Now back in Adelaide I can tape and have a look at the VFL & WAFL.
Certainly beats another replay of yet another AFL game.
Breaking News - Official

I have followed the link from above, gone to the complaints section and given my eight cents worth
I suggest that all other lovers of local footy (regardless of state) and local sport in general do the same.
This from Perth,
ABC TO REVIEW THEIR COVERAGE OF WAFL - YOU CAN ASSIST IN ENSURING YOUR ABC CONTINUES ITS COVERAGE
As you are probably aware, ABC TV acknowledged that they are considering their options in respect to their coverage of a range of sports including WAFL football.
Get behind...
Is this the same Wedgie who threatened hell fire, brimstone and who advocated boycotts & sackings when a radio station that supports North more than any other in Adelaide had to gall to choose another game for its coverage one week ?
If we love local sport this move by the ABC needs to be fought.
This is SERIOUS folks
If this move by the ABC is stage 1 and it is allowed to be smoothly accepted.
Then stage 2 next year is taking away state league sports on Saturday (ie SANFL, VFL, WAFL etc) and replacing it with some cheaper nationally networked sports program from Sydney or even...
Low crowds to beat
1935 - 26,496
2001 - 26,378
1930 - 23,609

Other State League finals this year
WAFL - 17,000 @ Subiaco (played AFL prelim final weekend)
VFL - 11,000 @ Optus Oval (played AFL prelim final weekend)
As for long weekend, at least we all get Monday to...
Portly sized, in cream pants, black or green Gridiron Australia shirt, green Gridiron Australia cap, looking edgy & nervous.
Should be there about 12.15 once the RPH radio gear is set up
BTW - Medialists Bar is behind Southern Goals isn't it ????
No I won't be wearing white ... or a Red Coat for that matter
Clue 1
In fact it doesn't really matter what I wear as people I affect wouldn't know.
Clue 2
This is especially the case for my co-"workers" servicing our "traditional customers" away from the game
Clue 3
I'm worried...
Looks like Hobart have come a fair way
I remember being back in Tassie about 5-6 years ago when they scored 0.1 for the entire game
To beat Clarence must have been a big effort

"Six supporters will be chosen to claim a prize that money can't buy: They will join the 5PRH commentary team live on air to provide "expert" analysis on their club's efforts during the 2003 finals series. In the week leading up to each of the...
I think you have it slightly wrong, from what they said on radio yesterday and from what I read on footysa.com they are looking for a fan from each of the 2 teams playing on the day to give us a "biased" perspective on their teams performance. ie if its Sturt v Eagles in the 1st semi then there...
Listened to the Port v Central mud wrestling yesterday and heard of an interesting competition for us "keyboard experts."
The radio station doing the game were running ads looking for a footy fans to help broadcast the finals series.
Only catch I think is you can only go on air if your team...
