    Crameri Deal far from done

It wouldn't be trade time without Essendon demanding a delusional trade with very little leverage. Notorious for wasting other clubs time and holding up other deals. Hopefully the dogs get him for nothing in the PSD.

    Trade Radio 2013

I don't think Carlton would go near that one. We lose two of our best running players which we desperately need more of, pass.
  3. BLue_Bloys

    Dustin Martin

And Kennedy, who was a pick 4 a few years earlier. We also received 50 something, which we used on Armfield.

    Carlton keen on Raph Clarke??

Surely it's his manager trying to drum up some interest in him o_O

Confirmed trade 3: Gunston to Hawthorn

To make it even worse you missed out on Andrew Walker because of your incompetent trading team and picked up Tambling instead :o Adelaide becoming the new Freo of trade week?

Shaun Grigg to Richmond for Andrew Collins?

I don't believe it's a "fair" trade, from what I've seen Grigg is and will be the better player. Though, considering the circumstances and how poorly a position Grigg has put us in, this is as fair as it will get. Would take this trade in a heartbeat. Grigg will be fantastic for the Tigers...

CONFIRMED: #2 Richard Tambling to Adelaide for Band 3 compensation pick + 3rd rounder

Adelaide paid too much imo, especially considering Bock pick could be 19?
  8. BLue_Bloys

    Shaun Grigg

Why wouldn't WC pick him up in the PSD if it came to that?
  9. BLue_Bloys

    Shaun Grigg

Ummm :o So the same recruiting department that drafted him, needs an overhall after you state you think he's worth your first round pick.

    Pretty much. :(

    Fevola Trade Thread (Part 2)

Yeah probably but I can't see Collingwood parting with pick 14 and cox / goldsack for Jolly. Also I'd assume Carlton would want more than that.

    Fevola Trade Thread (Part 2)

Sydney not giving enough. Collingwood giving too much. Won't happen.

    Brock Mclean leaves Melbourne

Re: McLean leaves Demons Could go either way really. Richmond had 5 picks in the top 20 in 2004.....how's that going for them?

    Brock Mclean leaves Melbourne

Re: McLean leaves Demons hmmm very surprising really... Still should really make our midfield complete now. Hadley did all of the grunt work for us this year, it really showed when he was injured.

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

ROFL what a pissa....where's nostradamus gone?
  16. BLue_Bloys

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

Of course we will. We have the best in the business and we will require players to take less than what they can get at other clubs. Geelong has to do it now, Hawthorn will have to do it soon as will we. Every club has to do it at some point not just us. Front loaded now will enable players...

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

Sure, but at the same time the guys on huge money are massively front loaded so 24 months from now their strain wont be anywhere near what it is now. Eg Fev, Judd and to a lesser degree Murphy and Warnock We've managed our salary cap great imo, what Freo have or don't have is beyond the...

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

You're shirking the issue here. I know pretty closely how much cap space we have this year. I'm calling your bullshit, Carlton has a cap space this year...and that's with heavily front loaded contracts to Fev, Judd, Murphy etc etc How much cap space do you believe we have?
  19. BLue_Bloys

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

No it's not....how would you know? Please tell me how much room we have this year, being 2009? If you know.
  20. BLue_Bloys

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

I'm sorry but that's just wrong. (bolded section) He's playing mostly as our third tall this year, behind Jamison and Waite. Why wouldn't he when we have those two + Thornton capable and allow him to play as such, whilst he develops. The only question mark over Bower is his weight, everything...
  21. BLue_Bloys

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

Yeah but come on, a pick 20. Who is developing extremely well, imo now would be worth inside the top 10-15....no danger involved with him as compared to a draft pick should easily play 200 games. Compare that to drum + a sweetener? It's not really comparable. Even if his value is diminished due...
  22. BLue_Bloys

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

ROFL you're joking? Why the **** would we want Drum? Or if he's traded to the other clubs how could it come close to what Bower is worth?
  23. BLue_Bloys

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

I was responding to the call of 'Melb not wanting to pick him up due to their plethora of defenders' You can always do so, will be an interesting scenario if it does take place. Would be pretty disappointed if it did get to that, guess we'll just see what happens.
  24. BLue_Bloys

    Paul Bower to Fremantle

You can't be serious? Who cares how many defenders they have. Bower is one of the best young defenders in the league. The PSD is mostly rubbish no matter what your pick. Melb would be insane to pass on him if he were available. It's like getting another top 20 pick for free. Wishful thinking...

    Shaun Hampson

I don't really remember the comments tbh, but I can understand what you're saying. At the moment, Hampson is great athletically but still very raw. I think his debut game was vs North in 07?? anyway 1 year on his improvement has been fantastic.
  26. BLue_Bloys

    Shaun Hampson

Considering he hasn't played a lot of AFL and he's a young ruckman I think we'd be giving him a couple of years to prove himself.
  27. BLue_Bloys

Blues to go TALL in draft

Yeah, can't disagree with anything you said there. Really it just depends on where Waite plays. Bower, Thornton, Waite, Jamison and Carrazzo are definite starters. Then you have to factor Austin and O'hAilpin, and to a lesser extent Joe Anderson. You're right on Bower's athleticism, vs...

Blues to go TALL in draft

The great thing about our young defenders are that they are very versatile. Bower, Jamison and Austin can all be swopped for need. With a bit of bulk Bower or Austin could claim CHB (assuming Waite moves forward) personally I like Bower on your third tall providing run from the backline and...
