No we did very well you clearly just have issues with the lions.
We are a team on the rebuild who off loaded a couple of toilers and an aging inconsistent Brennan for a **** load of picks under 30.
Next year doesn't matter.
I agree about Collingwood not spectacular but ok,will all depend on how Tarrant goes.
Lions did quite well getting a ton of draft picks under 30 inc pick 5 for Risha (honest worker but hardly a star) and Brennan (talented but inconsistent and getting on so wouldn't be a part of our next...
Re: #10 Confirmed Sherman to Bulldogs for compensation draft pick
Could be as high as pick 19 once the draft concessions are finished. And agreed Sherman is an average player this is a win for the Lions imo.
Pick 4 would be a fair trade but pick 10 stays with us.
And as someone said if he goes to GWS we could potentially get a top 5 pick depending where we finish.
Freo would need to give up someone like Hill or Morabito or Brissie say no thanks.
We won't know for at least a few years but if Bartlett fully recovers he could become one of the steals as it's been widely reported that sans injury he had top 5/10 talent.
Rich at #1 is a lock.
Also look out for Redden has some silky skills and some on our board think he could be better then Rich:eek:
I don't agree but that shows you the potential this kid has.
Rich,Hurley and Hartlett I believe will be the best from the top10.
From a neutral standpoint it seems Collingwood lose out here as Ball will likely resign with STK rather then go to Melbourne.
Looks like they tried to get him without giving up anything of value and the Saints were right to keep him.
Spin it anyway you like but Ball would have made a big...
We are keeping the only one that matters in this draft.
Pick 45 in this draft probably won't amount to anything so we're not risking much at all for a player who could finally realise his potential in a new environment.
Re: Lovett to The Lions
I'm of the same opinion 2nd round pick perhaps with Roe to sweeten the deal or a straight swap Rischitelli for Lovett. If those aren't accepted we move on and no biggie.
Pick 12 Sherman Adcock Brennan and the most crazy suggestion so far Henderson are all strictly...
Re: Official Fev to be traded - either saints of Hawks
Probably just MM and pick 16 would be enough. Any suggestion of a deal involving Ball will not happen.
Still think if he leaves the pies will nab him with pick 14 + decent player.
Re: Lovett to The Lions
As I said before pick 12 is off limits in any trade involving Lovett or Tuck.
Riska or 2nd pick at best or he goes elsewhere and who cares.
Re: Lovett to The Lions
Bomber fans overrated Lovett somewhat by bringing up players like Sherman or Adcock.
A straight swap for Riska sounds about right.
Or failing that our second round pick although personally I'd rather keep the pick and just trade a player.
Re: Lovett to The Lions
Straight swap for Riska or perhaps Roe + pick( a good defender to add to the likes of Hurley and Pears) seems fair for both parties.
Pick 12 and players like Brennan and Adcock would be off limits in a trade for Lovett.
Re: McLean leaves Demons
Yup this sounds very plausible to me and is probably very close to the truth.
Nice to know there was at least one person at Melbourne with class and ethics.
