Slightly selective though. Dench, Rance, Fletcher and Scarlett never actually got to play full-forward, and especially (for the latter three) not in eras when big bags were actually kicked on a regular basis.
A bit of an overstatement on both fronts - never seen as a tool (though his workrate wasn't up to standard), and now he's an AA certainty, but not being seen as an all-time great.
Beside anything else, though, he's now kicking over 60 sausages per year, which he wasn't doing at Carlton. He's...
Very good, yes, but no gun. He's a brilliant natural goalkicker, but isn't as good in the air as the best in the league. When he's kicking goals, he's great, but when he's not, he doesn't offer as much as other forwards in the league.
In terms of who I'd have in front of him - Franklin...
Disagree with the first part. I can see how some would feel that Moloney would not get a start down at Geelong but I do feel that if he played for us then he would play, we would find a spot for him, but Shannon Byrnes may not be too impressed.
Younger by two years, I think.
Rumour goes that at the trade table Port offered their own first pick to us in exchange for Enright, which would have also gotten us Ottens, but Geelong preferred him to Moloney.
He's not an all time great as in one of the top five-ten of all time. But he's probably the best midfielder of his era.
He can still turn it on, though, as evidenced by his effort against us in Rd 18 or his mammoth 300th game. I wouldn't be surprised to see him also do 2006 but the smart...
Hang on, I have the PF Footy Record right in front of me now, son....

I voted PAFC because of their apres-GF gloating but I must admit that I'm surprised we're not leading ourselves, we do have a few shockers (not that I'm going to name names!)
Yeh, that's my opinion too. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Harvey moves on (and now that Graham's moved on!) and whether Ackland can become a decent ruckman. Basically, I think that the first to fill those holes (ie a Harvey-shaped hole in the Midfield, or a Tredrea-shaped hole...
