Things that sh*t me the seventeenth

People that use way over the top language to describe mundane, slightly inconvenient events. Had a work colleague recently go on about how "awful" it was to have to wait 10 minutes to be served to get her lunch.

Games & Recreation Work Christmas Parties

That last line...ditto if you work in low level public service. Its bring a plate for your work xmas party and thats about it. Agree with you about being in a small business. My old man was a business owner who did pretty well. Remember one year he shouted his employees and their families to a...

    Obscure TV shows you remember

Did anyone watch the very early 2000's current affairs/drama show 'going home' on sbs? Followed actors on a train commute home and their personal dramas as well as referenced actual current events, as the the show was all written and produced the same day as it was screened.

Computers & Internet Adventures in ChatGPT

Microsoft, which is a huge investor in OpenAI, wants to incorporate chatGPT into Bing. It will be that AI and web search will become almost one and the same. As much as our education departments want to ban this stuff it will be practically impossible to do so.

    Society & Culture Halloween

I can't believe what a big thing Halloween has got in Australia the past number of years. So many people get into it now from dressups to emballashing their houses with home made zombies and ghosts. And there is so much Halloween paraphernalia to buy at shops around this time as well.

Gladys quoting "70% to 80% vaccinated" before restrictions start easing. The problem is the difference between 70% and 80% in a state as big as NSW isnt far off from a million people. Thats alot of people that will be freely walking around while the virus is still spreading.
