There's a general myth that states, it takes 10,000 hours of deliberate practice to become world-class at any skill.
So I pose the hypothetical, how would you spend those 10,000 hours? And what would you practice on?
Would you master 1 craft and become world class?
Or divide those 10,000 hours into 10 different skills where you can only achieve an adequate level.
Personally, I think I would do 5,000 hours into my profession. 3,000 in learning a language. And 2,000 hours into various party tricks like juggling, playing the piano, card tricks.
